Anypony else think Rarity doesn't stick to her element?

Well, I think all the mane six are designed to struggle from their elements. From time to time, Rarity is selfish, Fluttershy is, well, shy, Pinkie is insecure, Twilight is a loner, Rainbow Dash is egotistical, Applejack is practical. Rarity’s selfishness was most visible throughout the show, and that’s why she gets pointed out the most. But I think her character’s struggle is the most interesting one and that makes good episodes. She used to be my least favorite pony, but she eventually became one of my best.

The early seasons, where Rarity was often kinda selfish, aren't really my favourite period for that character, but at best ("Sweet and Elite") you see her actively struggle to balance her ambitions with her values. I think that's one of the things this show did best. But I'm also not bothered by the mane six not sticking to their elements.

I think she does stick to her element. Sometimes she gets a little too overwhelmed and loses her mind, other times, she helps other ponies with stuff (wink)

I personally like it when any of the Mane 6 show difficulty living up to their element. In my opinion, it gives them more complicated characters and chances for development.

I do think that sometimes, esp with Rarity and RD, they learn the same lessons regarding their element more than once, but it would frankly be unrealistic for core parts of their personalities to be completely changed after learning one lesson.

I really appreciate how they're written like people, and people struggle to be their best selves. The best Rarity can be is a perfect representation of her element, but she is still just a pony, and a big part of her personality (as the creators wrote it) is her struggle to be completely selfless and generous.

Oh, and I voted that she's AMAZING!
