After taking a year off due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, E3 will be hosting their 2021 event from June 12-15. The event will be a virtual online-only event as organized by the Entertainment Software Association, and has been rebranded for 2021 from “Electronic Entertainment Expo” to “Electronic Entertainment Experience.”

As for company press conferences, Nintendo, Microsoft, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, and Koch Media have all confirmed they will partake in the virtual event. However, other companies such as Sony, Bandai Namco, Sega, EA, Square Enix, and Activision have yet to be confirmed or denied for the event.

So now that we know for sure E3 will be returning, what would you like to see during this years event?

Doesn't sound like that many companies are involved:scoots:

That’s to be expected since they’d rather come in person

Just need Sony in this. Nintendo being this more or less guarantees another direct, specially since the last one mainly covered up till Summer. Also, Nintendo+Capcom participating is enough to get me excited

Konami is probably the strangest inclusion unless Pachislots are a video game now. Chances are they're showing PES and that's it

You haven't heard the news, have you?

Besides that, I'm most excited for Capcom and I hope Sony and Square Enix get confirmed to show something. Never been particularly interested in E3, but I am glad to have it back.

That Silent Hill rumor kept getting pushed back to the point where I’m doubting it exists :p

Really hoping to see Square too, especially since the last E3(2019) I felt they had a really good even if Avengers turned out to be a bust

All I want from gaming is a damn new Silent Hill game and after rumor after rumor turning out false I just give up at this point (I would say I would even take a remake but after the HD Collection...nah lmao). If SEGA shows up then maybe I can pray for them to do something with all their "dead" properties like Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, and Nights into Dreams especially.

I imagine this is when the Switch Pro will be officially announced? :p

I hope Nintendo shows something anything about Metroid Prime 4, but it's been 2 years since it was announced development was restarting and I have no reason to believe they'll show anything this year. :worry:

Well, let’s find out tomorrow. We got both E3, and Treehouse immediately afterwards. I hope for a good anniversary for Zelda

Well, I can rest easy now knowing that, compared to Nintendo 2008 E3 presentation, 2K’s this year was the worst. I mean, Nintendo showed bad games there, but at least where games. 2K spent talking bullshit and no games :mlp_yeehaa:

Only Nintendo and Microsoft had something to offer, their shows were really great(Halo Infinite, Zelda and Metroid were my favorites games shown off). The rest of the event sucked hard, especially Square, Jesus. Even the glorified shitposts that were Devolver and LRG were leagues better than most of the stuff shown off

Nintendo's E3 Direct disappointed me way beyond the normal "Well, that was somewhat mediocre!" mood. 90+% of the games shown were absolutely, pathetically, laughably, depressingly awful beyond Metroid Dread, BOTW2 and maaaaaybe Mario Party Superstars.

Also the fact that Aonuma continues to double-down on that disaster "game" Skyward Sword by not even adding QoL stuff to it, and not even actually upscaling it to real HD infuriates and disgusts me to no end; Not to mention the fact that a basic function such as fast-travel is locked behind a scalped paywall? How has the man not been demoted out of being the Zelda franchise's director? I really wish Nintendo would go through and do that and bring back Yoshiaki Koizumi back to the helm to take command of the Zelda franchise because Aonuma is nowhere near competent to handle the franchise and I wouldn't trust him to be anywhere near it anymore. Eiji Aonuma is screwing it all up and screwing fans out of a real, proper anniversary by only giving fans such a dry, pathetically barebones 35th anniversary when more could have been done. What an egotistical, clueless, foolish blockhead whose head is stuck so far up his own back end that he can't hear people are sick of his nonsense. It's high time for him to be officially demoted and permanently barred/banned from the Zelda franchise. :yeahno:

Look at the bright side, at least it wasn’t offensively bad, like E3 2008 :mlp_yeehaa:

Advance Wars remake and new Warioware game among others, c'mon dude

Also, Nintendo's is the one making the announcements for the Zelda Anniversary, not Aonuma
