Clawdeen 21,955 July 31, 2022 Share July 31, 2022 I’ll use this example because a relative of mine is literally watching it right now. But shows like Bad Girls Club, Jersey Shore or some of those house wife shows where the people(mostly women since a lot of shows like this are focused around women) just act overly rude and obnoxious with each other. Wanting to fight and drag each other for literally every small thing. It’s such cringey behavior and it screams heavily scripted to me. It doesn’t even seem like real behavior to the point where I can’t even watch it. But people eat shows like that up to the point they try to mimic that behavior irl and online. 7 *Cult Classic But I Still Pop* *Falling From Cloud Nine* *I’m Half Sick Of Shadows*

English + other languages are often way better and don't repeat themselves 2 #NoAI please be so kind to not throw my artworks into AI machines, This is something that unsettles me heavily! <3 Signature by @Moonlight
Sparklefan1234 180,860 July 31, 2022 Share July 31, 2022 (edited) I feel like modern comedy movies rely too much on bad language in nearly every sentence and shock/gross humor in order to be funny. Edited July 31, 2022 by Sparklefan1234
Megas 28,138 July 31, 2022 Share July 31, 2022 Poor quality shows constantly getting greenlit or renewed for new seasons while anything of actual quality gets abruptly axed. Especially with what's been going on in Netflix. Not to mention Netflix's obsession with butchering anime classics with dreadful live action adaptations

When one day you're in the middle of watching a series on Netflix etc. and it feels like the next day you only have "one week left" until the show you're watching moves somewhere else. Cash In 23,114 August 1, 2022 Share August 1, 2022 Shows that have like a billion episodes. Just kills my motivation to watch them. 3 At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.
DubWolf 18,661 August 1, 2022 Share August 1, 2022 Biggest reason I don't watch many movies or TV is my attention span and just lack of desire to sit down for so long just... idling. I need some sort of interaction. I did enough of that throughout my childhood, and as much as I enjoyed those days, nowadays I can't be doing that. So it's not so much the TV or the movies; it's me. 2 Sig by Wolf, Handwriting by SparklingSwirls
ExplosionMare 22,127 August 1, 2022 Share August 1, 2022 Clichés. Let's list some; fart jokes, romances that start off as a hate relationship then the couple spontaneously love each other, stupid protagonists in horror movies, mean girl vs the nice girl. Very random list, I know, but my point is here that lots of movies and shows of all genres use clichés and it's sad that they don't try for something original. Of course, clichés can be utilized in a creative way--take Perfect Pear for example--but in most cases, clichés are used as placeholders for when the writers don't have many ideas. 4 Boom! Splashee 28,599 August 1, 2022 Share August 1, 2022 I see through most of it nowadays. It isn't exciting when you know how the shows and movies are done. All I see is the work of stressed people that don't get credited.
Cherrychip 113 August 1, 2022 Share August 1, 2022 For me it's just that I'm kinda jaded by bad shows, and I'm not really willing to give anything new a try unless I hear it's 1) AMAZING and 2) something I know I'll enjoy I hope that doesn't make me sound spoiled, but I just don't like to get invested into shows and get let down! It's so annoying when I love a series then BOOM! It jumps the shark or totally tanks!
Fluttershutter 2,960 August 1, 2022 Share August 1, 2022 It irritates me that any good shows are spread across fifty different streaming services. It also irritates me that movies are so generic and take no chances these days.
J.J 930 August 18, 2022 Share August 18, 2022 The ridiculous emphasis on "inclusion" really cringe wokeness that demands the adaptation or recast of something totally inorganic and untrue to the source content.. it happens in cartoons now, I love owl house, big fan, I love Harley Quinn big fan, and in today's day and age the prevalence of the LGBTQ is blatant, but as viewers we aren't dumb, you don't need to keep reassuring us that their relationship is healthy and not falling apart and that the characters are still intimately interested in each other, the constant need to "identify" takes away from actual character qualities and their identity, your sexual preferences dont dictate whether or not you will be a good or intelligent person, when these ppl describe themselves(not talking fiction) they want to make sure that you understand that they are gay, like it's a prevalent allergy you need to know about or like it will play any difference in how you see them whatsoever... Gay isn't a trait, it's a sexual predisposition, we aren't playing house, and it's cute that's what it's dressed up as in today's media
EvilCreator222 14 August 18, 2022 Share August 18, 2022 This is for new animated tv shows specifically, but when they take a great animated show that's popular and dumb it down with a reboot. An obvious example is Teen Titans Go, but there's also Total Dramarama, Thundercats, that new Scooby-Doo show, etc. The only reboot that was able to do so well was the Animaniacs ( Idk if there's any others out there ). 1 *:・゚✧*:・゚ TreeHugger, My Beloved *:・゚✧*:・゚

That's funny because I thought that the Animaniacs reboot is pure unadulterated liberal sell out un funny hyper political GARBAGE that should be removed from any streaming service it's currently on... And I loved the old Animaniacs, they chose a crowd, they wanted to trend on Twitter or something, Total Dramarama was just an unnecessary show, teen Titans go has success bc of the character IP alone, if they tried half that random garbage with characters unknown, with fresh villains, you know no DC properties, it would flop. Reminds me of The Blacklist. It began interesting, but as time went on, they’ve just added plot twists over plot twists while these plot twists over plot twists have their plot twists of their own made it convoluted and ridiculous. I think the latest season came on Netflix a few months ago. Never gained the interest to watch it Sig by Discords

peachie_keen 0 August 21, 2022 Share August 21, 2022 i will say before i post this, i am mentally ill. so sometimes things that are obvious to people aren’t so obvious to me. and one way this shows is through romance in tv shows and movies. in movies, romance is 2d. you know how both people feel, and you get to see what they say to other people and you feel for the most part that you are completely in the know about the situation. however in real life- it’s 3d. you don’t get to know how your partner feels for sure and it really irritates me sometimes. people talk about unrealistic expectations like it’s just being swept off your feet that is so out there. but in reality it’s the whole way romance is portrayed. i feel like it makes it hard for those who attach themselves to media like i did to adjust to the fact that you’ll never know if your partner loves you unless you fully trust them. so sorry this is long- but yeah this is what irritates me the most. cuteycindyhoney 13,339 August 22, 2022 Share August 22, 2022 As a life long science fiction fan, one thing always bugs me! You DO NOT put lights INSIDE the helmet of a space suit. If you had lights inside shining on your face, all you would see was a reflection of your face! Try it some time. At night, look out a window into the darkness. Shine a flashlight on your face. Tell me what you see out the window! Another pet peeve is found footage movies or episodes. I refuse to watch them. There's actually a Peter Capaldi episode of Doctor Who that I never watched, because it's presented as found footage from a destroyed space station. I find the whole found footage trope to be asinine. 3 Thank you Sparklefan1234!!!
Fluttershutter 2,960 August 22, 2022 Share August 22, 2022 One thing I hate is when there's a huge war and the end is just kill the king, queen, controlling computer, whatever. No war has ever ended that way! It's so lazy!
EpicEnergy 23,247 August 28, 2022 Share August 28, 2022 It bothers me whenever the developers try to make the TV show/movie appeal to all audiences instead of just a few audiences. What really bothers me aren't the TV shows and movies though, but rather the hypercritical critics that review them. 1 *totally not up to any shenanigans*
Dreambiscuit 11,340 August 31, 2022 Share August 31, 2022 Bad writing, which includes overuse of clichés, reliance on fart jokes, bad language and lewd humor, and obvious opportunities for greatness tossed away by lazy writers who don’t know the material. Well-deserved sequels that are never made while horrible shows and movies get endless sequels that fail repeatedly. Movies and shows that use special effects as a crutch so they don’t have to think out a story. Movies that run too long in the thinking that a convoluted plot and excessive running time will equate to ‘epic’ status. Fast editing, shaking camera, fast zooms in and out, and bullet time effects to make a movie seem more ‘exciting’ when all it does is cause confusion and make it impossible to follow or even see clearly.
