I live to collect things. Again, I don't put labels on myself (too restricting). I do put labels on the things I collect though

I’m not minimalist, as there are stuff I like to collect. Otherwise, specially with clothing, I am. Currently due to space issues, but I hardly buy clothes otherwise. Only exception would be shoes, but that’s because one of my employee benefits are a free pair of shoes each year

You would think so. But the reality is that I have nothing to my name. My family just happened to inherit what they could have never earned for themselves. Same with my mother. Most people would think she likes to hoard. But the fact is that she does not seem to care. And these are just the signs of this self-neglect.

So, most of the stuff in this house actually belongs to family members who are now deceased. Even the property itself is on the name of a dead person. And it is exactly as it was more than ten years ago. Just more deteriorated. Nothing has changed, nothing was added. Almost as if ghosts lived here.

There is no point in getting more stuff, when you can barely manage to take care of yourself. That is the reality of our clinical condition. And the deteriorated state of the house is an accurate reflection of this.

Considering the amount of Star Wars toys cluttering every square inch of my apartment, I don’t think I could call myself a minimalist and make it stick. But I haven’t collected new toys for a long while now and I’m starting to see the value of a ‘less is more’ attitude. Clean, clear space is a very good thing. An uncluttered living space makes for an uncluttered mind. I’d probably be a minimalist if I wasn’t already a maximalist.

Yeah I’m not a minimalist. Far far from it. I have too much stuff lol. That being said I’m trying to get rid of some things but…..yeah. Stuff every where.
