You know how Rainbow Dash got her name from crashing into a trash can, Crash? Or Clipper as Soarin when he clipped his wing? Well, I THINK they took a nod from the Naval Aviation Industry. When a Navy pilot does something stupid, they get a name from it. And it’s usually despised. And seeing that the Wonderbolts are based off of the Blue Angels, the NAVY Aerial Demonstration Squadron, I think it’s fitting. Let me know what you think

I don't know, you might be right. But I'd just like to say that by coincidence I actually watched that episode (Newbie Dash) today. It was better than I remembered it.
