gaming What game made you rage quit?

The game in question for me would be Crysis, at the first tank mission. Blasted helicopters...

Same here, but i forgot to mention i meant Armor Lock in general ;)

I generally use the Jet Pack. Major pro and con about it.

Pro: Gets me out of a tight situation where someone's trying to kill me via pummel, and I can shoot them while flying away.

Con: Gives my position away, and all snipers have a shooting frenzy on me.

I usually ragequit from obscure game like game in japanese where you screw everything up by not knowing what you are doing at all.

I erased a minecraft world once after a ZOMBIE pushed me in lava while I had 145 diamonds on me... 145! GOD DAMNIT!

And I ragequited "Slender" after almost completing a perfect "first time ever" run of it and having 7 pages, I realize that the last one is in the showers with all the corridors in it. I turn around a corner, see the last page! And slendy right in front of it T_T

But I never really ragequit a game, it's usually my friends who throws the controller on the ground when I beat them at blazblue/SF4/SCV/Tekken ^^

I'm what once was, what now is and what shall be.

Shall you be human, monster or god himself.

If you threathen my childs, nothing will be left of you.

My name has no meaning but you'll remember it...

And of course on Mass Effect on Insanity at the Therum mission. That Geth Colussus (I think it was) killed me like 40 times. And IF I finally killed, one of those stupid insect like things kill me :/

I can't say I really rage quit, it's more like my game froze during a loading screen and I just realized that I did not save recently...then I died a little inside.

Kingdom Hearts I, the Final Boss. And Majora's Mask at the Water Temple, though this temple wasn't this difficult like the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time.

.......Dead Island.

For what the game was worth, it doesn't look too bad.

BUT

I was expecting couch co-op when they said there was multiplayer. They didn't state it was only online......

And the biggest thing EVER THAT MADE ME RAGE SO HARD?! This.

Seriously!!!!!!

I was expecting something akin to actual survival horror with an emotional story, not THIS!

Edit - Huh, my comment on the YouTube video is still the top comment, neat.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has made me ragequit several times. I can't seem to build up a good enough equip set, then again, I'm not really good with strategy....Or fitting blocks together... XD But seriously, I hate those giant green floaty things (I forget what they're called) that have as many HP bars as freaking Sephiroth in KH2. The last mission I need to complete to progress is one of those things and why I ragequit most recently.

EDIT: The game I ragequit most recently is The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Now I know alot of useless trivia, but I'm not a very smart person when it comes to puzzle elements. So I'm stuck on the Water Temple. Can't figure out how to get to the boss for the life of me.

Super Mario for the Wii...the levels with the auto-scrolling screen make me INSANE. Also, I almost rage quit Eve the first time I was suicide ganked in high-security space.

This was not recently (in fact farrrrrr from it), but back in the day, and I love the Halo series mind you, but Halo 2 on Legendary was the hardest bucking thing ever, and not in a good way. I couldn't even get through the first level, and not because I'm not a skilled gamer, even then I was, but because the enemies were wayyyyyyy too overpowered, and you simply didn't have enough ammo on hand to deal with them all. Bungie even admitted after it was released that Microsoft's short timetable forced them to rush some elements of the game and leave many things unpolished. So while overall I still love Halo 2 as much as the rest of the Halo series, to this day I have yet to finish it on Legendary, and I really, really, really hope that they release an anniversary edition in a couple of years that fixes and polishes the game so that it can finally achieve its full potential!

Mass effect 3... it's a great game and all, but the fact that Bioware have potentially screwed up their chance of getting "one of the best games in history" award by not confirming/adding the whole indoctrination theory people have been fussing about for quite some time. Seriously, if they do not confirm that Shepard was being indoctrinated by the reapers since Mass effect 2 and only successfully indoctrinated at the end of Mass Effect 3 with future DLCs they are going to lose a bunch of fans (including me) and their games will go down as the worst game in history.

I rage quit the game until they prove/disprove the IT.

Mass effect 3 came very close to making me ragequit as i kept making accidental mistakes in conversations that cost me either my romance(tali) or my war assests. Or just general dialouge things that i really wanted to see.

My problem is that my previous save was always like an hour away.

So i must have replayed about 6 hours of that game

Didn't you think the extended endings made up for the bad ending and that they kind of disproved most of the indoctrination theory?

Didn't you think the extended endings made up for the bad ending and that they kind of disproved most of the indoctrination theory?

Well, they did improve the endings and filled some of the plot holes.. but they added some new content that may "approve" the IT:

"Plot holes that were filled:

How your crew got on the ship with Joker: There is a new cut scene halfway through the charge to the beam where a mako is hit by one of Harbinger's lasers and flips over. The crash and explosion injures your squadmates. Shep calls for an evac and the Normandy arrives and picks them up while the charge continues. If the LI is being evaced, they protest about not wanting to go (even alternate LIs protest, like Liara did with me), but they finally obey and get on the ship. Joker takes off and flies out while Harbinger is distracted. The charge continues after this and Shep is hit by the BRL (Big Red Laser) and the scene transitions like we remember.

Why this doesn't "disprove" IT:: If IT assumes everything after the BRL is a dream, then Shep is merely dreaming about how his friends, that he KNOWS are safe aboard the Normandy, got away. It just clarifies HOW he knows. Why Harbinger let Normandy just fly off? Who knows. Maybe he was just taking a breather from flipping all those Makos over.

How does Hackket know someone got into the Citidel: There is a cutscene AFTER the BRL that shows the fleet and space with Hackket talking about how someone saw somebody get into the Citadel beam. He orders the fleet to "buy time for them to get the arms open".

Why this doesn't "disprove" IT: It happens AFTER the BRL. Shep is dreaming this too. Part of his internal justification for what's going on.

Why is Joker running away?: Hackett orders the retreat after Shep makes his choice and the Squad tells him it's time to bug out, cause Shep isn't going to make it. Joker leaves after the rest of the fleet does, hence his race against the energy burst, but unlike the previous endings, the Normandy doesn't come apart at the seams when the beam catches him.

Why this doesn't "disprove" IT: ? Again, this all happens post-BRL. It's part of the hallucination and Shepard's internal monologue.

Additional scenes.

In Control, the narration is from the POV of a new Super-Reaper that was formed from Shep's mind that controls the other reapers. The narration begins with HARBINGER'S voice fading into SHEPARD'S. If that wasn't a dead giveaway, then it also shows the REAPERS rebuilding the Mass Effect devices. It talks about how Shepard's Purpose and "his" purpose are the same now. How there is wisdom in control and in taking "the strengths of your enemies" for yourself. The generic slideshow is misleading. If you close your eyes and just listen to the words it is really saying that by trying to take control, Shepard became the new lead reaper, and then basically just went on about what reapers always do. Harvest life. "Maintain a galaxy with limitless possibilities for the many". The many being the lifeforms that have not yet achieved civilization. Remember how Harbinger always had the form of a Prothean in that holo from Arrival? Remember how the prothean VI in ME 3 talked about a splinter group like Cerberus that tried to control the reapers and failed? Bam. That's Harbinger. He was the TIM (The Illusive Man) of his era. He took control alright, but he did NOT make the reapers peaceful, he went on about their programmed business. In the extended cut Control ending, Shepard does the same.

In Synthesis we get a lot of touchy feely waffle about how EDI is alive, from EDI's POV, and how this whole synthesis thing is great because, we like, totally don't have to fight anymore! Unlimited access to knowledge! Yay! Reclaiming greatness: sounds dandy! What it really sounds like, especially with EDI's voice narrating (once again, ignore the misleading slideshow and listen) is more like: "We are borg, all has been assimilated." After the initial "I" everything is we. We, we, we ,we ,we. Individuality? All gone. Free will? See ya. It's got a certain appeal if you're into trans-humanist philosophical wank, but really this is not the ending Shepard has been seeking the entire time. There is no hope, everyone is the same now. Basically, peripheral units for the Reaper overlords who now have a self-replicating army of goons in case they want to try and "perfect" life in the next Galaxy over maybe?

In Destroy, you get a narration by Admiral Hackett over the slideshow. And in my opinion his words are the only ones that make contextual sense with the images. He talks about losses and rebuilding and all of the things shown. There is also a set of slides showing the damaged Citadel above Earth and then another with it rebuilt, including the transport beam. The basic gist is, "if we can pull together to beat something as gnarly as the Reapers, we can do anything." "

Even if all of this is untrue, IT will be my ending in Mass Effect 3.

I rage quit Sonic Chronicles on the DS, because I effectively got stuck on a boss at the end of the game. I didn't have many health items and there was no way I could go back to grind or get more items. I had to fight the boss with very little defense or health. Never touched that game since.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Nearly trashed my keyboard trying to beat the second last boss in The Greater Good. Nicely styled visuals and a decent if repetitive soundtrack were dwarfed by enemy attacks that sync to your monitor refresh rate. Developer knows about this, claims he fixed it, but I never did finish the game. Once enemies start triple hitting you every turn the enjoyment vanished pretty fast. Well, that or they spin in circles while attacking the backup they brought to the fight. Remember kids, those aren't bugs, they're features! :mlp_icwudt:

Any and all battle royale games. My biggest issues are two things and those are if you are not kicking ass at all times, then you are not having fun, at all and as a result, if you are not doing the aforementioned ass kicking and instead getting your ass kicked, then all the stupid running around and picking stuff up is a total waste of time and your gameplay will largely consist of downtime and menus. Not only does it make me feel rage often, but it tends to bore the ever living hell out of me too. So I have given up on Battle Royale games altogether since they are all basically the same, just painted differently.

Another game that I rage quit from and instantly deleted afterwards was Volgarr the Viking. A game that uses nostalgia as an exploit and an excuse for terrible design. It is 'hard' in all the wrong ways. I can beat the entire Dark Souls trilogy without using a shield, yet I couldn't get passed level 2 of Volgarr. It just wasn't worth my time.

I don't ragequit. As much as I'd love to do it when dealing with some jackass teabagging and calling me the n-word, I know that there's a chance he could be recording the footage so he could post it on his social media accounts, and edit it to make me look like the biggest sore loser in that game's community.

If it weren't for that, maybe I'd ragequit regularly. I won't have a problem losing to somebody at any game if they show some manners. It's just "those" people that make it tempting. And unfortunately, the world's full of them.
