Did Starlight ever get a redemption episode??

Starlight sure was a piece of work and what she did to those town ponies sure wasn't very nice but it wasn't exactly the most irredeemable thing ever :twi:

Starlight's redemption was during the end of the last episode of season 5, when Twilight deescalated the fight they were having and Starlight chose to do the right thing, she turned a new leaf, made good with the town ponies she wronged and we got even more development on that right after at the start of season 6.

So was the season 5 redemption good? Or does it get better start of season 6?

I cant remember a lot of Starlight's growth but All Bottled Up or whatever it was, was a good episode too.

Did Starlight ever get a redemption or a reformed  episode I'm still a bit confused on why they forgave her so quickly after what she done to them and innocent ponies

Starlight Glimmer got 2 redemption episodes actually (or 3, considering that the 2nd is a two part), let's remember that the only characters who saw her evil side were the Mane Six and the ponies from that village she controlled, in the Season 5 finale, she only redeems herself with the Mane Six, and Twilight never wanted to fight or kill Starlight, she wanted to talk to her, she spent that two part trying to change up Starlight's mund, so it wasn't easy for her. Then she forgives Starlight and tell the other 5 to do the same and the other 5 trust Twilight, so they easily forgive Starlight. The other ponies from Ponyville never had to forgive her because they never saw what she did, only Twilight and the ponies from that village know what she did, so for Ponyville, she was just another pony, unlike how it was with Trixie, Trixie once was evil to Ponyville and everyone saw, for that reason in the episode where Starlight meets Trixie (don't remember which one is), you see some ponies in Ponyville saying that they shouldn't trust Trixie or remembering her evil character arc, they don't have the same impression of Starlight because Starlight never attacked Ponyville.

Her 2nd redemption is in the Season 6 finale, it's in that 2 Part where she returns to the village and tries to redeem herself with those ponies, finishing the redemption arc that started with the Mane Six as they were the only ones who saw her evil side.

Sadly, I think every single villain in the series got a redemption at one point or another except for Chrysalis. I’m glad Chrysalis slipped through the cracks and wasn’t given a pat 180 degree turnaround. If it was handled more realistically with the various characters throughout the series, including Starlight, it would have been more interesting, but many just abruptly changed for the sake of a timely and convenient resolution. Starlight may have taken a little longer but I still think she would have done better as a permanent villain.
