"You're welcome! It's always so amazing to hear that somepony else is a fan of another song artist. Hearing Songbird's music just blew me away that it almost felt inspiring when it came to singing." Pipp smiled, slowly raising an eyebrow in curiosity. "You were going to choose a different song? What song would that have been? Once everyone that wants to participate has taken a turn, you're more than welcome to go up on stage again. I do get how you feel as there's so many incredible songs to choose from. That's when you know there are so many amazing songs to listen to~!" Pipp exclaimed, before taking notice of Silver Slate, who Berry had addressed. "Hi~! Do you like to sing karaoke? If so, would you like to give it a go with a song? There's many holiday and non holiday songs to sing." Pipp says, just as @Applejack had called out to both her and @Rarity. "You can count on us, Applejack. We got plenty of fun activities for everypony to take part in. I admit that I hadn't seen any thieves, but I hope that you both find out what's been happening. If only Zipp were here, then she could help with her goggles for investigating." Pipp says, giving a nod in agreement about the party.

"You've got that right! This party is all bout celebrating in the name of Hearth's Warming and friendship! We need to make sure that this party continues to be AMAZING~!" Pipp exclaimed in a singsong tone as Applejack and Pinkie took their leave to begin the investigation.

[Obsidia]

Fluttershy nods, listening to every word Snoopy has to say. "So fascinating."

She then remembers the others who are here. She turns back to face Shiny and Obsidia. "I just need help with the winter animals around here. Some are suppose to be hibernating, but they can't find the right cave. Others are suppose to be flying south, but they don't know which way is south. Some are just trying to find a meal. Each animal seems to have its own unique needs." Fluttershy explains.

After that, she floats over to a patch of snow. "This garden is very special. The snow here is a little enchanted. So if you need help, just make a snow buddy." Fluttershy makes a small snow bunny, and it begins to hop around. "See? You can ask them to help the animals, or they can keep you company. Just don't make anything bigger than a pet. The magic doesn't work for bigger things."

Obsidia levitates a small clump of snow in front of her face, examining it with raised eyebrows. "Enchanted snow?" A hundred questions soared through Obsidia's head as she played with the ball of snow in her magic. Her trance was broken, however, by the gentle touch of a shivering groundhog brushing against her leg. Obsidia looked down at the shaking rodent, then looked back at the lump of snow she was holding. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly as she began to sculpt the pile into the shape of a mole. The small gollum then started to walk around the garden as Obsidia placed it on the ground. "Wow..." Obsidia muttered in fascination. "Uh...you, go...d-dig some holes for these animals to hibernate in...please...?"

"Thanks. I appreciate it. I'm going to leave the bar and maybe engage with some of the activities here. But I swear, ever since I arrived here, I've had this feeling that someone is sneaking around." Trilby explains.
Trilby glances then double takes towards a window. "Like just now. I could have sworn I saw some shady pony passing by outside. It can't be just my imagination."

Shiny : "I shall name you… mmmh… Skoobi! Aid me to find the lost animals and I shall give you a croissant!" *The unicorn said to her creation, as it came to life.*

Skoobi : "Alright, Ragg- Shiny!"

*Right away, Skoobi began to sniff the ground and leaded the way to the mare and anypony following her. Shortly after, Shiny spotted a lost squirrel but, when she attempted to approach it, it immediately ran away.* 

Shiny : "Wait! Come back! I just want to make sure you're safe!" *Without thinking, she started chasing after the squirrel.*

*Soon enough, the squirrel, Shiny and Skoobi ended up inside the Canterlot castle where an investigation was currently taking place. The mare lost the track of the small animal but, in her hurry, she crashed into Trilby ( @Samurai Equine ).*

Shiny : "Oopsie! Sorry about that! I was running after a squirrel and…" *Her explanations abruptly halted, once she noticed that the stallion wasn't wearing his hat.*

Shiny : "Why aren't you wearing your hat? I saw you with one, earlier!" 
 

(OOC : Oh boy! I do hope the thief isn't disguised as a monster! )

 

Trilby leaves the bar to get a snack, and he then sees a snow dog enter the party hall and run off into the crowd. "Huh... Was that a dog made of snow? It's not safe for it to be in a warm place like--!!" Trilby's thoughts were interrupted when somepony crashes into him. He falls on his rump. "Ugh... Jinkies."

Shaking off the sudden shock, Trilby gets up and then looks at who bumped into him. "....You! I remember you! The funny pony from the talent show!" He says before offering to help Shiny up.

[Roswell]

Trilby rubs his head while trying to find his missing hat. "Hi there, Roswell... I don't suppose you've seen a--Oh, nevermind. What kind of drink can I interest you in?" Trilby gets back to making drinks, trying to distract himself for now.

Roswell noticed that something was bothering this pony and he wasn't gonna just let it slide.

*As Trilby ( @Samurai Equine ) helped her up, Shiny overheard Pinkie Pie talking about a thief who stole an hat. Her two neurons came in collision with each others, at this moment, and she made the link with the stallion's lack of hat.*

Shiny : "A thief stole your hat?!" *The unicorn exclaimed from the surprise of facing such a situation in an Hearth's Warming party.*

*Meanwhile, Skoobi was voraciously devouring anything that happened to be on the table. The snow dog seemed to be bottomless, despite being made of snow. He was too busy to be concerned by anything happening around him, until Shiny approached him.*

Shiny : "Skoobi! The castle is haunted by a brigand who stole Trilby's hat!"

Skoobi : "A-A-A b-b-brigand?" *The snow dog stuttered, before jumping into the mare's front hooves, due to fear.*

*Shiny then carried Skoobi toward @Pinkie Pie, until she couldn't withstand the coldness of his body. Arrived nearby the party mare, she dropped him onto the floor.*

Shiny : "Zoinks! Like, is there some way we could help you catch the thief?" *The unicorn asked to Pinkie Pie.*

[Applejack 158]

It started with @Samurai Equine Trilby Hatter losing his hat, but as the party goes on, various other ponies start to complain as well.
Word of missing presents and other items start to spread.

Applejack wastes no time investigating. She looks high and low for clues, at first finding nothing.
"Hmm..." But eventually, she finds a random piece of tattered cloth. It's a dark red color, and it looks to be torn.

"I am beginning to have an idea who the culprit might be." Applejack says as she exits the party hall.

 

[Pinkie Pie 755]

As Pinkie followed @Applejack through the party hall, she looked furiously from side to side, from up and down and even diagonal on any sort of clue. All the while, looking through the lens of a magnifying glass in the hopes of finding their potential hat culprit. As she craned her neck, the magnifying glass she looked through landed on @Shiny Silvermoon and Skoobi's faces. Prompting her to give a shocking shout as her whole body jumped up, while levitating in the air momentarily. "Whoo! That was a good scare and it wasn't even Nightmare Night! Ooooooh~! I might have to keep that in mind for next year's Nightmare Night party!" Pinkie says as she giggled with glee. "Hey, Shiny! It's really great to see you! It looks like you brought a friend, which means that we've got a team! Maybe we can become a team called Hearth's Warming Inc.!" She exclaimed, before tapping her chin with her forehoof. "It kind of rolls off the tongue, but then it might only be for just Hearth's Warming. Which works, but maybe a different title. Guess that's a work in progress." She spoke softly in thought, shaking her head with a smile as she could think about it later. In the meantime, there was a mystery to be solved. "I'm glad that you asked, Shiny! We need to split up, gang! It's all about spreading out and search for clues." She started, before noticing something out of the corner of her eye. While Skoobi had indeed eaten a good portion of the treats she had prepared, she knew that she could always make more delicious desserts.

No, what caught her attention was a trail of an assortment of crumbs, chocolate and sprinkles leading in a different direction. "Huh? Now that's very curious as I didn't see that mess before." She says, before nodding and turning back towards the two guests in front of her. "Applejack and I are heading through party hall, while you two can check the trail of treats. It seems that whoever left that was hungry and wanted to take some treats on the road. It looks fairly recent, so they couldn't have gotten too far! If you find anything, please let us know as soon as you can." She says, quickly making her way out of the party room to catch up to Applejack. Upon reaching her investigation teammate, Pinkie took a deep breath. Both to gasp in shock, while also explain what she had found. "Applejack! You won't believe what happened! Shiny and her friend are here to help and I just found a clue that I asked them to follow. There seems to be chocolate, sprinkles and crumbs leading in an opposite direction. Probably a way to split up the team, but maybe the paths meet up! I asked the two to do the whole split up plan as we continue our search. Did you find any clues? Do you know who might be behind this?" As Pinkie spoke, she almost became tongue tied, while also looked like she was deflating like a balloon from the breath she used to speak. Taking another breath, she inflated back to normal as she wondered what Applejack had found.

*After it was decided that Shiny and Skoobi would split from the rest of Hearth's Warming Inc. to investigate the crumbs and sprinkles, the unicorn turned around to speak to her fellow companion. To her surprise, the snow dog was not at the buffet anymore.*

*As she approached the table to search for him, Shiny heard teeth chattering sounds beneath the tablecloth. She lifted it, with the magic of her horn, to find Skoobi hidden under the table. He was trembling, while covering his eyes with both frosty front paws.*

Shiny : "Come on, Skoobi! We have to find the hat thief!"

Skoobi : "I-I don't want to go! It's dangerous!"

Shiny : "Would you do it for a croissant?" *She attempted to bargain with the snow dog.*

Skoobi : "Nuhu!" *He rapidly turned his head from side to side with his eyes closed.*

Shiny : "What about two croissants…?" *Then, Skoobi opened an eye, as he was starting to get convinced by the idea.*

Shiny : "Three croissants?"

*It was enough for Skoobi to get out from beneath the table. Together, they followed the trail of chocolate, sprinkles and crumbs on the floor.*

"A thief?! Tarnation, we can't be havin' that tonight. Well maybe I can catch this varmint before they get away." As she appoints herself to the job, she smiles and nods at @Pinkie Pie for volunteering as well. "I'd be mighty proud to have you along with me, sugarcube."

She takes a moment to address @Pipp Petals and @Rarity as well. "Can I count on y'all to make sure the party stays fun and worry free? We don't need the guests frettin' none over a thief at this party. Keep an eye out for the thief if you wanna, but most all, make sure this is the best party for everypony here." Applejack puts her trust in her friends before going off to investigate.

With @Applejack and @Pinkie Pie on an investigation, Pipp looked over towards Applejack, who had asked both her and Rarity. Blinking in quick surprise at the mention of keeping the party going, Pipp smiled softly with a nod. "You can count on us, Applejack. We'll make sure to keep this party going strong while you and Pinkie take care of what's been going on. If either of you ever need any help, then please don't hesitate to let us know." Pipp says as Applejack and Pinkie went off to investigate the area. Pipp, on the other hoof, looked back towards the crowd of partygoers. With a nod, he smiled grew as she knew what she needed to do. "Alright, everypony! It's time to keep this party going strong and the double the fun~! Help yourself to all the snacks available, take part in the games and karaoke and never forget to have fun!" She grinned with a flap of her wings. Looking over towards the karaoke station, she turned her attention back towards Rarity. "Since Applejack entrusted the party to both you and I, did you want to kick things off? I think a fun holiday song, or even a favorite song of your choosing is the best way to get this party started!" She exclaims, grabbing a microphone from its stand and presenting said microphone towards Rarity.

[Silver Slate]

"Nice to meet you, Berry! That's a nice name." He replies, taking a sip of his hot cocoa. "And yes, I definitely did enjoy Songbird's music. Really helps you get in the mood for the holidays. Say, you mentioned that you're a painter. That's pretty cool, my sister is also an artist, and she's done pretty well for herself. I'm very proud of her! What sort of things do you like to paint?" He asked, intrigued.

With a smiling squee, Pinkie giggled in delight. "You can say that again! The moment the party is in full swing, I can't help in feeling psyched for the festivities!" She exclaimed, holding her hoof out as she presented @Rarity options on activities to partake in. "If you are up for some games, we have pin the star on the Hearth's Warming Tree! There's also some karaoke and even some holiday cookies, muffins, and more to be had and enjoyed! Speaking of which, I need to get my singing on. After I get some more treats for everypony." She smiled, zipping away momentarily to prepare more cookies for the partygoers. 

Making a quick return, Pinkie giggled once more as she turned towards @Applejack. "I sure hope not. Otherwise, I'd worry if I was a different Pinkie Pie from the mirror pool. In which case, we might need to watch paint dry again. Then again, when a party is a go, one can never change on party fun to be had!" Pinkie hopped in place as she was super ecstatic that everypony was having a fun time, so far. "Oooooh~! By the way, are we still up for the family get together later on? I know that my parents and sisters are making their way to Ponyville later. Gives us time to prepare for the Apples and Pies Hearth's Warming Celebration!" She grinned with glee as she always looked forward to their families spending time together. As she let Applejack take the stage to sing, Pinkie hopped around, while dancing to the beat of the song. Once her friend stepped off stage, Pinkie returned the embrace without a second thought and gave a wave as Applejack made her way around the party room.

With the party going full swing, Pinkie pushed the door open with her moving cart of treats. Along with more and more desserts on said moving tray cart to be had. "Come and get it, everypony! Gingerbread ponies, sugar gumdrops, candy, candy canes and more, oh my!" Pinkie giggled, placing each and every delicacy on the available table for everypony to take. As she placed the last dessert on the table, Pinkie blinked in surprise as she heard the shouting of @Samurai Equine Tribly Hatter, who looked to have lost his hat. With an audible gasp, Pinkie zipped her way over towards the hat selling pony in a flash.

"You lost your hat!? What does it look like? What color is it? Where was it last seen? Is it over there on that table, or is that one of my matching Hearth's Warming Hats? I was waiting to give them to my friends when everypony arrived, but I guess I left my hat there by mistake." Pinkie says, shaking Trilby's shoulders, before giggling at her realization of her hat. Taking said hat and placing it away for safe keeping, she tapped a hoof to her chin as she was deep in thought. "I wonder if we could get @Rarity to help out on this hat mystery. Rarity told me a few of her stories to myself, Twilight and the others of her escapades. Especial that one time she helped save Rainbow Dash from a Wonderbolt mystery at Wonderbolt HQ."

Rarity was astonished at all of the things that Pinkie Pie said there was to do in this ballroom.

@Pinkie Pie "Your offer of pinning a star on the Hearth's Warming Tree sounds fun as well as following up with a muffin and preferable a cup of tea would be divine, darling".

"Also, what is this hat mystery that you speak of, Pinkie?".

Rarity curiously asked around, "what hat mystery?" before she heard Applejack mention her name along with Pipp's name.

@Applejack "I most certainly can because I know that me and Pippy can handle anything you throw at us, Applejack darling".

@Pipp Petals We have this in as they say 'the bag'".

[Roswell]

Roswell overheard @Applejack talking about the missing hat which must be the one that belonged to the new pony he just met.

 

He flew over Applejack to lend his assistance.

 

@Applejack

Applejack?! My name is Roswell and is there anything I can do to help look for this hat?

[Snoopy]

Meanwhile Outside

Trilby was beginning to feel a little better about seeing so many ponies leaping in to help him.

Trilby watches Shiny and Skoobi interact. He scratches his chin. "...This seems very familiar. But if it means the case gets solved, then I hope they meddle as much as possible!"

Knowing Applejack is on the case, Trilby decides to step outside for some fresh air. He can see Fluttershy in the distance.

In time, Fluttershy had made a small army of snow animals; such as birds, foxes, cats, otters, bear cubs, and more. With the help of her volunteers, each animal was getting what it needed. Flying animals were shown where to fly for the winter. Hibernating animals were shown the way to the best hibernating spots. Animals that needed to store food managed find plenty of food that was lost in the snow. And as soon as their job was done, Fluttershy gives these snow creatures a final pet before they turn back into lifeless dunes of snow. "Oh thank you so much, my little snow creatures! Now it's your turn to rest for the winter. I'll see you next year."

Fluttershy floats over and pets Snoopy and pats Obsidia's shoulder. "And thank you both as well for all the help. You can join the party again, if it's too cold out here. Or, if you want to stick around, we could play some snow games. I use to hate it, but Rainbow Dash taught me the fun of snowball fights. I'm no good at it, but I still have tons of fun." Fluttershy chuckles to herself. "Or, if you just want to play around with the snow creatures you made, you can do that too! Just remember, they also want to sleep for the winter, so don't make them stay awake forever."

After Fluttershy thanks her friends, she sees something in the far distance. A shadowy pony retreating into the woods. No... Three ponies! But they are gone just as fast as Fluttershy saw them. "Huh. I wonder who that could have been?"

Berry was interested in other people's art, of course; after all, connecting with other artists was rewarding.

She says, before nodding and turning back towards the two guests in front of her. "Applejack and I are heading through party hall, while you two can check the trail of treats. It seems that whoever left that was hungry and wanted to take some treats on the road. It looks fairly recent, so they couldn't have gotten too far! If you find anything, please let us know as soon as you can." She says, quickly making her way out of the party room to catch up to Applejack. Upon reaching her investigation teammate, Pinkie took a deep breath. Both to gasp in shock, while also explain what she had found. "Applejack! You won't believe what happened! Shiny and her friend are here to help and I just found a clue that I asked them to follow. There seems to be chocolate, sprinkles and crumbs leading in an opposite direction. Probably a way to split up the team, but maybe the paths meet up! I asked the two to do the whole split up plan as we continue our search. Did you find any clues? Do you know who might be behind this?" As Pinkie spoke, she almost became tongue tied, while also looked like she was deflating like a balloon from the breath she used to speak. Taking another breath, she inflated back to normal as she wondered what Applejack had found.

Finally, she turns to @TheRockARooster Roswell. "Howdy. There sure is one thing you can do to help. We got one more than one culprit behind this mess. When we corner 'em, I'll need your help to make sure they don't go runnin' off in different directions. We'll wrangle 'em up together!" Applejack explains.
