This one is visually stunning. The opening of Paranoia Agent is one of the best animated openings, as well as having great music.

 

Dang, you took my choice! This has been my favorite opening for a while. I love that image of the guy laughing with a mushroom cloud in the background.

 

Most of my favorites (Bebop, Evangelion, Madoka) have already been posted, except for one. Serial Experiments Lain. I actually wasn't all that fond of it on first viewing, but dammit if it hasn't grown on me. The song is gorgeous too.

Slayers Next (Lina Inverse is another favorite character of mine. Her signature spell is the "Dragon Slave". It has the exact same effect as a low yield tactical nuclear warhead!)

I'm going to have to say Cowboy Bebop and Trigun, not only because they're the only animes I've really been interested in (Trigun was the first anime I actually finished ) but the songs played in them are also really cool, and Trigun's opening has some really cool animations and is generally very well done.

Trigun's theme is basically one long guitar solo, which for some reason sounds a little like Black Dog and Paradise City.

Season Zero is the only Yu-Gi-Oh anime I like because it has lots of different storylines. The other shows seem to be focused almost solely on duelling.

"Kiddy Grade" (One of my favorite anime. I love Eclair and Lumiere!)

 

"Super Gals" (Another favorite. A really funny comedy with some really good dramatic sections.This one has a more angular character design I thought was pretty interesting.)

My favorite is probably for Mahoromatic. There's just something about the juxtaposition of a calming song and a combat android/maid fighting stuff. Plus I just really like the song and the art style as a whole.
