This is the first song I'm officially releasing off of what I plan to be a 5 track EP. I'm just starting off as a brony musician, but I hope to entertain and to please!

Lyra is my favorite background pony, and when thinking about characters I wanted to write songs for, she was one of the first to come to mind. This was the third song that was written and composed, but I'm releasing it before the others since it is the only song with vocals recorded.

Which reminds me, I could use a singer or two for my other tracks that I have sitting on the back burner. I can do a lot on the creation end by myself, but my voice has been known to summon cockatrice. Just shoot me an email if your interested, and I'll link you to all the instrumentals, as well as the samples recordings I did.

I like it! Really catchy melody and good lyrics.

 

My only complaint is sometimes the singer's voice seems to trail off at some parts. It sounds like he might need to project his voice more

Thanks! I actually never wanted to sing until Ponies. Sure I'm no Aviators or Tombstone, but at least my vocals are decent, right? (Btw, if one day I get to sing with one of those two... I'll probably explode)

You don't have a bad voice at all. Just keep practicing as much as you can and see what happens

The singer sounds like he isn't putting everything "into" his voice. At points, it can get very weak. And it doesn't help that the mic's quality isn't that good. Another thing I'd like to point out is how the instrument track itself can sound like it's going faster than the voice, and keeping for sound with it. You may wanna work on avoiding that.

But this did have some good parts. The voice went well with the melody of the "instrumental" most of the time. And the instrumental section itself was not at all badly composed.

If I had to rate, I'd give it a 6/10. Not too shabby.
