WE NOW HAVE A MAXMUNIM OF 10 MEMBERS. NO ONE ELSE MAY JOIN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

 

Seeing as the other thread died because @ decided she didn't want to organize it anymore I am taking it upon myself to organize it. [i mean it was my idea anyway]

 

Now let's get a few things out of the way first.

1. We are not going to use the actual games. Rather we are going to use Pokemon Showdown. All you have to do is click "Choose Name" in the upper right hand corner then do a battle. Eventually it should ask you to make a password so it can record you on the ladder.

 

2.You can use pretty much any Pokemon you want as long as they or not considered Uber. Here is a list of all Pokemon considered Uber. http://www.smogon.com/bw/tiers/uber Also Wobbuffet is banned because while he isn't Uber he can still kinda OP in the right hands.

 

3. You don't have to be super awesome at this and know everything from EVs to what Pokemon complements what. I do recommend using Smogon to help in building your team.

 

Ok now that you know all that just post below if your interested and what times you think would work best for you. As I have not picked a time yet. Also post wither you think we should use Pokemon Showdown or Pokemon Online.

How does Pokemon online work? Do you just choose the Pokemon you want and there all lvl 100 or something?

You can choose the level but all Pokemon should be at level 100 anyway. Both battle simulators have a team creator that allows you to choose moves, EVs, natures, held items, etc. You do have to download Pokemon Online but it would allow us to make our own server.

I definitely want in on this, the only problem would be my schedule as I will not know what days I am off until that morning or if it rains a lot the day before. I say just make it on a Friday/Saturday decently in the afternoon.

 

I don't care which one we use. I've looked at both and nothing seems different. Though, if I had to choose, I would cast my vote for PO.

One question though, we are all gonna keep them at max IVs right? The simulators start all pokemon at max and I was just making sure cause it seemed a tad weird having literally perfect pokemon.

IVs determine how a high a stat is from the very beginning. Lower IVs would equal a lower stat the whole way through.

 

It isn't a big deal, It just seemed weird for competitive play. It won't make a big difference in battle either, since everyone will have perfect Pokemon as well.

Check their moveset and abilities.

 

Blaziken is cause of Speed Boost and its high attack.

 

Garchomp...umm, well I got nothing for him.

Its been awhile since I've battled but I have been getting back into Pokemon Online and such lately so this might be fun!

Unforunately for me I'll have to rebuild my teams but that's not a bad thing I guess since metagame changes over time!

Garchomp has a weird speed stat that makes him just enough faster than most dragons, which make him outclass most other non-legendary ones, plus in a sandstorm he becomes even more broken thanks to Sand Veil. Blaziken now has Speed Boost, plus he has access to Swords Dance and 2 extremely powerful attacks in Flare Blitz and High Jump Kick, which means he becomes nearly unstoppable once he gets all his boosts in, even by other Ubers except maybe Giritina, who still has to watch out for Shadow Claw variants.

Sign me up! I play on Pokemon showdown all the time, and I am quite knowledgeable about EV's and all that stuff. And I have assembled the perfect team that counters any Pokemon that counters other Pokemon!

i wish Garchomp wasn't Uber. That landshark is one of my favourite Pokemon....

Oh no, I just didnt want a stare down between two Wobbuffets lol. I got stuck in one and ever since then, I try to avoid them.

 

Also to add on to Perhaps question, are we allowed to have the same items on our pokemon, or do they all need to be different?

The only thing more epic would be Magikarp vs Metapod. The battle of two Poke-gods.

If they are both holding Leftovers, the battle would never end. Leftovers would heal more than Wobba can deal with Struggle.

I'm thinking the battle would have to be restarted. Or we could just ban Wobbuffett from the tournament if you guys think it could cause predicaments like this. I can always fill my last slot up with something else...

I love Wobbuffett but yeah lets ban him. Oh and should I ban Keldo, Genesect, and Melotta? No one has been able to use them unless they have an Action Replay.
