Seriously guys? Nirvana?

...overrated.

In my opinion...

Killing Is My Business - Megadeth: This album kicked major ass. Powered by Dave's "fuck Metallica" anger, it's a really fast and raw album.

Adrenaline - Deftones: While not as good as some of their later work (Self-titled album), Adrenaline was a solid album. Unlike the more mellow albums that came later in Deftones career, Adrenaline had a sense of teenage rage and rebellion that was sort of lost later in their career.t

LD. 50 - Mudvayne: The skill on this album is fucking crazy. The bass player really tore it up. The album is crushing in it's aggressive playing style, and this is the only Mudvayne album that had these traits.

System of a Down - System of a Down: This album is one of the heaviest, and darkest, System of a Down albums they made. The lyrical themes range from teenage suicide to religion, and Serj had an amazing way of delivering these lyrics(He actually screams on this one!). Daron's guitar playing isn't that good, and the bass lacks on every System album, but the drumming is phenomenal.

I can't believe I forgot LD50. I spent a lot of time listening to that album when it came out. Still a great album.

Nirvana isn't overrated. Some people think they are just because Kurt killed himself. They were huge before Kurt died. But whatever your opinion. And Please tell me you're not one of those eletist metalhead jerks who trashes on anything that isn't metal. (Not saying you're one.)

I also forgot Unkown Pleasures by Joy Division and Kill Em' All by Metallica.

Well, I believe that Nirvana is mostly successful just because the popularity of the grunge scene. Their music is mostly just simple chord progressions, in my opinion.

And I'm not an elitist metalhead :/ I'm open to a lot of genres, actually. Besides metal, I listen to jazz or classical.

Well it's good to know you're not an eletist. But, Black Sabbath songs are pretty simple too. And Metallica used a lot power chords as well. For Whom the Bells Toll is a pretty easy song to play. Let's not forget a lot of punk bands made simple songs.

Actually Nirvana paved the way for all the other grunge bands as well and got rid of glam metal.

Iron Maiden- Iron Maiden

The sickness- Disturbed

Nosferatu- Bloodbound

Mushroomhead- Mushroomhead, not as good as some other albums of theirs, but I love it for it's weirdness

Korn- Korn- I can't be bothered with the backwards R. Deal with it.

There are more I'll add when my brain wakes up.

I was taking a look at the Diamond Plate album Generation Why? which was released last year. I found it really good, songs being well construction, and the guitarist especially doing a nice job on the record. The vocalist I'm not the biggest fan of, but he's not much of a problem.

Devin Townsend - Ocean Machine: Biomech

How the hell did I miss that? I thought the Punky Bruster album was his debut.

It would be wrong of me to suggest that I do not like Disturbed's The Sickness album even though it's my second least favorite album of them all. There isn't a song from Disturbed I don't like and the only reason it's not the worst is because Believe takes that place (though it's still good) and I believe Disturbed has only gotten better with every album after Believe.

Well, it wasn't under his own name, so I don't count it. Lemme add few more: Torche's self-titled, Global Communication's 76:14, and Snowing's I Could Do Whatever I Wanted If I Wanted.
