"This Day Aria" Favorite Line

So much happens in this song. Some parts a bit funny, but some parts quite sad. My favorite line would have to be "Every pony will gather round, see I look lovely in my gown." Just the way she says it, is quite funny. Favorite Line, could either be funny or sad, or both

 

My personal fav line...

 

This day is going to be perfect....

 

It starts out the song pretty well, setting the mood and introducing the listener to the...theme of the song (breaking news: I'm a professional song reviewer xD)

My favorite line from This Day Aria would be:

 

No, I do not love the groom

In my heart, there is no room

But I still want him to be all mine

 

It's a really strong line out of the whole song, but the whole song has really good lyrics anyway.

 

I also kind of like this set of lines:

 

I could care less about the dress

I won't partake in any cake

Vows, well I'll be lying when I say

 

That part just seems a bit humorous to me; I guess it's just because of the "cake" part. I don't know.

Out of the song, I have to say I love the lines:

 

"For I oh-so love the groom
Oh my thoughts he does consume
Oh Shining Armor, I'll be there very soon."

 

Not sure why, I think it's the way she uses her voice on those lyrics.

My favorite line is definitely "No I do not love the groom, in my heart there is no room!!!"

So good, I love the music at that part, it's almost the climax of the song.

My favorite part is when Chrysalis is in her real form, and she sings the "This day is going to be perfect" part. I just love her voice!

Those lines alone can get a reaction in emotion.

I LOVE this song.  It remains one of my favorite songs in the series because of the excellent delivery - the fact that a single person can sing two parts so clearly opposite and yet similar just sends chills down my spine.  Plus the fact that it is a very emotional, almost operatic song makes me love it even more.

 

So since the singer obviously worked hard to make sure that there are two very separate individuals singing, I have to choose a favorite line from both Cadance AND Chrysalis.  And since I love the song so much, I have to pick entire stanzas.

 

For Chrysalis, I have to go with her second stanza.  The thinly-veiled sneer in her voice and obvious malicious intent is beautifully delivered.  There is also a lot of power in her delivery of the line "but I still want him to be all mine" - which I would probably call my favorite line if I were forced to pick one and only one.

 

For Cadance, it's definitely her second stanza as well (the one right after the aforementioned one by Chrysalis).  The sense of urgency, desperation, and ultimately love in her voice (absolutely helped by the wonderful instrumental layer) is the high point of the song for me.

 

Both stanzas show a lot of power, but very different kinds of power.  For Chrysalis, it's control - a power used for domination and despair.  For Cadance, it's love - a power used to give her hope and courage.

I always got sorta tense at:
