Great, I had to open up the economy or the crystal empire would've probably became Syria.

Through Cadance I intend to slowly reverse this so that coup d'états don't happen

Make sure that all your trusted advisers know and that Cadence knows too, that while it may look like she has power, she really doesn't. If she tries to pull anything on you or the other officers in charge, throw her into the dungeon and tell the public that she was plotting to overthrow the newly established Commonwealth. Only do that, however if she tries to pull anything, in the meanwhile, leave her with her "Powers" and let her be adored by the public, while behind closed doors, you shall be making the decisions.

Now the Crystal Empire/Commonwealth should be strongly secured, compared to some other regions such as Manehatten or southern Equestria, which have both become strongholds for the rebel capitalist movements.

The region itself is very hard to fight in, it's a huge desert and my troops aren't used to fighting in that kind of heat, but the natives sure are. They also use hidden tunnels and dug-outs to surprise attack my troops. They have also declared their own independence from the rest of the Union of Soviet Equestria, the whole campaign trying to take them down has been an utter flop.

Manehatten is a nearly impenetrable fortress, I think the only way I'll be able to take the city is if I send in my troops from the air instead of attacking by way of ground.........

Yes I suppose I could do that, but it really all comes down to how effective the battle strategies are, you can have all the troops in the world, but if you don't have a set in stone plan of attack, your bound to fail.
