The M18 claymore is a shaped (directional) charge mine containing a pattern of steel balls that act much like a giant shotgun shell; it isn't healthy to be behind one, but it is MUCH much worse to be in front of one.

I honestly imagine Boom’s explosions not to have her explode into pieces everywhere, but instead send hot shockwaves in all directions. I guess ShockwaveMare doesn’t sound as cool though  .
