Question 1: Haven't played any series much, but Ratchet and Clank.

 

Question 2: Spyro. Old Spyro, easily. Although, there were some pretty good Crash games.

 

Question 3: Never really liked either main-series, but FF has some cool spin-offs (FF tactics series, I'm looking at you).

 

Question 4: Pretty equal, but Mario edges out slightly.

 

Question 5: Sony. PS2 has the best exclusives of any system ever.

 

Question 6: I've never actually played any RE, so Silent Hill.

 

Question 7: I'd have to say Battle Network. Megaman as an RPG is cool stuff.

 

Question 8: Never really liked Zelda, haven't played Okami or Darksiders (yet)

 

Question 9: Now, this is one subject in this thread I DO know a lot about Metroidvanias are some of the best games ever, hands down. Don't get me wrong, original CV is great, as are a few of the 3D ones, but the Metroidvanias are what make CV my favorite series of all time.

1. Ratchet and Clank, I loved those games.

2. Spyro, the old one, I never played new spyro.

3. Final fantasy, never played dragon quest, but only played a little final fantasy.

4. It would have to be old mario, although both names are a watered down version of what they used to be.

5. Sony, as a company they are generally better, Microsoft are assholes in general, modern nintendo are stuck in the past. On a side note, I use my windows PC more than anything else, but that dosnt change Microsoft from being assholes.

6. Resident evil, never played either game more than a demo but I enjoyed the resident evil movies, so they get that point.

7.none, didnt play them.

8. Tie between zelda and darksiders, I found both to be equally mundane.

I just kinda came up with these right off the top of my head and picked the most controversial things I've seen in gaming. I totally forgot about Shooters...because I haven't played a single one of those except a tiny bit of CoD or MoH. I wasn't using any system but my own brain and knowledge. Biased? Maybe. But this wasn't meant to be uniform in any way whatsoever.

 

 

 

Question 9: Now, this is one subject in this thread I DO know a lot about Metroidvanias are some of the best games ever, hands down. Don't get me wrong, original CV is great, as are a few of the 3D ones, but the Metroidvanias are what make CV my favorite series of all time.

 

I started with Metroidvania (aside from having the first one when I was a kid) with Aria of Sorrow so they hold a place in my heart but the 3Dvanias are amazing imo. Each one takes something amazing from the other CV games and makes them amazing, even if it lacks in certain other features, and then usually add at least one unique thing too. There isn't a single Castlevania I don't like.

Question 1: Jak & Daxter. I grew up with this game, and it's plot, universe, and characters just appeal to me so much :3 I never really got into Sly Cooper, and I've played some Ratchet & Clank but I didn't really like it as much as Jak & Daxter.

 

Question 2: Crash Bandicoot. Spyro's pretty cool, but I really enjoyed the simple but sometimes complicated (for me at least XD) game mechanics of Crash

 

Question 3: Never really played Dragon Quest, and I do love Final Fantasy.

 

Question 4: Sonic. I feel like the plots and characters of Sonic go into so much more depth than Mario. Marios a classic and awesome and all, but I love Sonic more.

 

Question 5: I CAN'T CHOOSE D: I love them all.

 

Question 6: Silent Hill. Never really played either of them, but I think Silent Hill has come farther as a series and intially started the popularity of the horror genre.

Question 8: Hmmmm..... It's a tie between Zelda and Okami for me. Both create such beautiful games with immersive worlds and characters. As for Darksiders, it's great as well but it seems kind of out of place to be put against Zelda and Okami.

Everyone forgets the Legends series, those games were my childhood. I think they are massively underrated. I’m thinking about getting a PS2 just so I can play those games again.

I have barely played any of those games, I grew up as a PC gamer mostly. I never owned a PS2, I had an XBox.

 

Never had an Atari or an N64 either, I had a Sega Genesis and a Gameboy color. The only one I can fairly answer is Mario or Sonic, I say Mario.

 

Sonic's recent games have sucked something fierce, especially freeriders and the one where he turns into a werewolf
