Hmm... How I was first interested in music huh...

 

Well it all started at a guitar hero marathon at my friend Jose's house, and I felt like playing this song Assassin - Muse (Didn't know how awesome muse was at the time) and after that song ended and I went home, I listened to every muse song and was inspired to pick up my guitar and learn to play. And well 4 years passed and here I am!

Ever since I can remember, I've loved music. Music just has this indescribable essence about it. It affects me in a way nothing else can. I can listen to songs I haven't heard in 10+ years and still sing along.

 

My tastes in music seem to follow an odd pattern. If I hate a song, I'm going to like it a few years down the road. I heard a Thousand Foot Krutch song on the radio once; I absolutely loathed it. Thousand Foot Krutch is now my favorite band ever. Same thing with Family Force 5 (minus, of course, being my favorite band of all time.)

Since I was a baby in the womb. Music is very important to me and I love it. I hate the crap they call Top 40 songs and prefer classical and rap.

I listened to music as a child and the first song I really hooked onto was "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen. I used to sing it every day on the way to kindergarten. My father being in a band, I was surrounded by music and almost forced into it, but I still enjoyed it immensely. I always loved the soundtrack to the Pokemon series, and that also was one of the first musical things that I loved. 2 B a Master was the first cassette I ever bought with my own money (I was 6 or so and I had some birthday money) because my CD of it had broken from overplaying it. Like Samrules, I also rekindled my love for music after a guitar hero marathon at my school during a fair, and I promptly started teaching myself on my father's guitar. I'm still not very good, but I work at a music store so I guess that counts for something

Ahh yea so I was watching Vh1 and I saw the video for Smells Like Teen Spirit and that's when my world changed forever. I became an audiophile aka someone who really likes music. And I listen to almost everything really. And Kurt Cobain is my total idol. I even started playing guitar because of him.

Back in Christmas of 2009 I got my first iPod (iPod Shuffle 2009 model) A month later I got into Michael Jackson. That same month I traded in my iPod Shuffle for a iPod Touch 3g. Throughout 2010 I listened to a lot of Pop and Comedy music, I did that until February of 2011. In February of 2011 my teacher gets on Pandora and Plays Don't Stop Believin'. At that moment I was like well this i pretty good. Later that week I saw the Family Guy when they sang Don't Stop Believin'. A minute later I get on iTunes and get Don't Stop Believin'. As the year went on I kept getting into 80s rock and getting out of Pop. So it all started with that christmas in 2009 and the rest is history

Since eighth grade, I've been listening to music for six hours each day. These days, I've been into a lot of progressive metal/technical death metal.
