Lando 80 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 I'm more so surprised that they had an article on it and a link to it on Equestria Daily (I think they took it down now). Also I hear ya, lots of kids in my school watch Tosh.0 and they'll see that and believe every word he said.....just great.... 4 Check me out! No, seriously, check me out. Chigens and Kay 3,832 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 (edited) This thread appears to be related to the My Little Pony franchise and/or the Bronydom in general. Thus, it has been sentenced to Sugarcube Corner. Also had a small discussion about said episode here: http://mlpforums.com/statuses/id/117620/ Edited November 21, 2012 by Chigens and Kay 1 My signature broke

Flawless victory. Second, big fuckin' deal? Daniel Tosh makes fun of EVERYBODY. That's what pays his bills. Hell, I enjoy his show, even when it rips on things that I might enjoy. Champion RD92 8,658 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 (edited) I found the video of this on YouTube. I guess I probably can't post it because it contains inappropriate content. He basically says this: "The brony community - made up of guys who can't wait to 'whack it' to My Little Pony" What annoys me is the fact that he implies that all bronies "whack it" to MLP, and also acts like that is the only thing that bronies do. SrFrog 927 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 (edited) C'mon, that was hilarious. It's not like Tosh is againt any specific group in particular, and it's not like anything he mentioned is outside the reach of anyone with a computer or iphone. Just be glad he didn't mention some of the worse aspects of the fandom. Edited November 21, 2012 by SrFrog "Never give no manipulative bitch the benefit of the doubt" - Compa's grandpa... Dragonshy 2,305 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 (edited) I personally can't wait to see it. I've seen some of his stuff and I thought he was pretty funny. Although he is making fun of bronies, I can't blame him. I mean think about it. To him, he sees a bunch off male teenagers and men watching a show with little ponies. He's a comedian and I can't necessarily say I could see a comedian (or media in general) talking good about bronies in a way that reflects the true community that we have created. I would say just accept it as it is. I could care less what some celebrity thinks about what I do, or what any one in general does. duidamasterXD 9,627 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 Eh, people like Tosh make fun of everyone. Lets face it, it was bound to happen eventually. It does bother me that this might somehow imprint in the public consciousness but oh well. Nothing new here, an uninformed jerk being a jerk . Time to move on with our lives.
IHazTommyWiseau 84 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 Personally I stopped watching Tosh a while ago just because I thought his idea of comedy was just getting repetitive and stale, although I still respect the guy for what he does. Comedians will do what they can to get a laugh and Tosh has finally decided that Bronies were important enough to make a joke about them. I doubt he really cares what people do in their spare time so long as he still has people who like his style of insult humor.

Pinkie D Pie 1,036 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 Well, okay, not the first time this will happen, and certanly not the last. I am not going to let it change anything, even if people do watch the show(Me of whom does not, haven't even heard about it much) I doubt there going to give any crap about it. And if they do, whatever, again not the first time or the last time. Besides, I know no one that I actually talk to that watches the show. Dark Qiviut 22,383 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 (edited) Quite honestly, anyone who thinks Tosh's shock-jock jokes qualify as "humor" needs a good lesson on what humor actually is. His brony-bashing piece literally had no effort in it, and just because he made a "joke" doesn't mean it's objectively funny. His humor is of the lowest common denominator and is extremely unintelligent. Give me the likes of Rodney Dangerfield and George Carlin any day of the week. They can be a bit vulgar, but at least their humor is intelligent, unlike Tosh's dumb, lazy, sarcastic, half-assed horseshit. Jinx 2,292 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 Daniel Tosh was actually more ripping the internet for thinking the way it does about the fandom. His stuff is very satirical, and he bashes the internet as a whole. I like his sarcasm, but I have no idea how those images made it on the air.

And I don't expect a serious answer for you in particular. It's more of a rhetorical question, to illustrate a simple fact: a fair number of people on this forum will answer "yes" (but not admit it publicly). And I'm not trying to badger anybody about what aspects of the plot storyline they find appealing. Just sprinkling a bit of perpsective! I believe it is because cartoon pornography can be allowed on air and by the censors standards, doesn't have to/cant be censored. Or something. He has had stuff like that on his show before, but it is always censored. So that's why :/ I was shocked at it. My signature broke

Party Cannon 876 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 Just finished watching the episode. It was actually one of his most recent best. When he mentioned MLP, I was excited and at the same time anticipated his worst. He makes fun of everyone, which is "respectable" and it's one of the reasons why I like the show. I was not offended by his brony jokes. (People more and more look for things to be offended by these days) My only concern is that the portion of his audience that gets all their internet culture info from him will become more misinformed. Oh well...
