I freaking HATE when people obsess over the most absurd relationships, such as with most of the Sonic fandom ones, but I tend to like it when it's actually something that makes sense, such as, like I said, SonAmy.

Not much of a difference that I've seen.

 

The "slash" normally refers to same sex pairings, hence "slash fiction". But I've occasionally seen it for hetero pairings too. I don;t know of any significant difference between using a + or an x.

Shipping is a colloquialism that shortens "Relationshipping" as a relative term for fans to use information from the canonic appearances of characters in the show and add them to their own fantasies of relationships, varying from friendship to romantic or otherwise.
