What's going on?

Has the post editor changed recently? I tried to quote something and instead of getting the 

[quote][/quote]

 

I get a box with the text inside of it. However, I can't get rid of it. Is this just me, or is this happening to anyone else?

Yeah this is happening to me too. I think it's a upgrade to the website or something.

An interesting conundrum. I've found two solutions:

[*]Press ctrl-a to select everything then press delete/backspace.

[*]change editing mode and remove the quote tags, if you don't know pressing the button on the top left will change editing mode.

It only happens whenever I try to quote someone. However, it counts the text inside the box as characters. Right now, I have 308 characters. It this intentional? People can bypass the character limit.

This is part of the IP.Board upgrade I installed last night. Quotes are now intentionally wrapped in a box rather than quote tags, which looks a lot nicer in the editor. The tags are still accessible if you switch the editor to BBCode mode using the light switch.

 

We're aware of the issue with the character minimum not functioning correctly with the new quote style - Scootacool is working on fixing that up. If you run into any other problems, please open a support ticket with the tech department to report them.
