WildCard 1,037 December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 I liked it, maybe the Elements of Harmony will need the power of all the ponies that they have befriended to defeat a big evil in the final episode of FiM. That would be really awesome 6 OC was made by Princess Ariona. Reversalx 129 December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 I thought that too, but i guess the classic smoke-puff-trixierunningaway thign made up for it in my opinion, she may have apologized, but shes still trixie. it still kinda bothered me though, her apology, in my opinion, should've been a little shorter and perhaps less sincere XP 1 "Colorful Rainbows catch my eye, as i see you fly across the sky. Magic Man 222 December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 Whilst Trixie IS an ego-maniacal jerk, that doesn't mean she's totally beyond realizing she's been a total douche. That's what separates her from the true villains in the show.
~Asuka <3~ 867 December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 I kind of like it. It's always nice that such enemies could become acquaintances. However, I do feel that it was kind of out of her character as well. It was better than her simply leaving though, like the last episode with Trixie. #1 Asuka fanboy. Jokuc 8,173 December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 Yeah she doesn't like Twilight and not her friends either. And then she just starts to become really kind.. What? But well, Trixie wants alot of attention and that everypony loves her. And maybe she thought that if she do not apoligize nopony would like her anymore. I don't know.
Squid 100 December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 Trixie may have been mean, but she was never evil (unless you count the necklace making her evil without her having any say in it because it's magic). I think after actually causing problems for people she felt sorry because she didn't want that to happen, she just wants to be adored, it's not entirely in her character to be a villain (as apposed to an lighter type of antagonist she was originally). Though I enjoyed boastful Trixie, and even more evil Trixie, I look forward to good Trixie. I really want to see how it goes with her as a friend maybe. Perhaps Twilight will help her better her magic.

Babs Seed of last episode was redeemed. That was perfect. This time, I felt this was ABSOLUTELY out of Trixie's character to be sorry. Rewatch Boast Busters. Pay particular attention to how arrogant and rude she is at different times. Look for a pattern. You'll notice a direct correlation between arrogant/rude Trixie and how much she feels like she is performing. When she feels no need to perform (Ursa scene) her arrogance is far more subtle and that she, when offstage (like she was with Twilight at the end of "Magic Duel"), isn't particularly jerkish. I was afraid that Hasbro would ruin Trixie's character with a ridiculous redemption, but I don't think they did. In fact, the end seems to have been a mockery of the Trixie-becomes-a-recolored-Twilight stories. 3 #SOCKS
Arcanel 3,041 December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 Well, she probably won't stop being proud that's for sure. While I didn't know if there would be an apology, it wasn't out of my considerations. I think for the most part, her apologetic part comes from realizing how the Alicorn Amulet had corrupted her. She was looking for revenge, but she probably didn't read the part about "it will corrupt the user the longer it is used", unless she had been so blind by revenge she went with it anyway. Despite all this, I don't think she wanted to hurt anybody. Just prove she was better than Twilight. Obviously it worked, but at the cost of her sanity. Few people are so blind in their minds to sacrifice that for revenge, TV shows and movies aside. After she saw her wrongdoings, and probably understood she was NOT going to win against Twilight (probably getting the fact her friends would have helped her). Plus, after the amulet was taken away, she did seem to have regained most of her sense, too much in shock to do anything else (anyone blind with revenge would have still kept on going with it, despite everything else). Nonetheless, I think it shows a bit of Trixie's character development. While being uber proud, she doesn't really wanna hurt somebody else. Just has too much of an ego to let go. Kind of like Rainbow Dash in that sense. Plus, she was kind of pissed off with her little tale in history. That plus her ego equals blind mind. But after all this, I think she really wants to repent. Now I think only three things can happen. 1- Either it was all a trap (which by Trixie's voice I doubt). 2- What Wildcard said happen. 3- Trixie may never appear again. We don't know, but personally, I loved that little part (plus, her apologetic voice was beautiful. Like I said. Newfound love for Kathleen Barr). 2 My OC Arcanel: http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/arcanel-r2118 My OC Xiomara: http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/xiomara-r5412 ~Member of the Great Pony Analyzers~

Doctor 22 December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 (edited) It was a Great and Amazing episode. I didn't mind Trixie becoming good at the end. I just hope they just give her little clip parts in the next coming episodes. Just to show more of her showing that she has became part of Twilight friendship. Just in the background or whatever at least. Edited December 1, 2012 by Doctor Sometimes there are things that get me down. ReGen 1,466 December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 I think it's a good concept, but I especially like how they still made her seem pretty arrogant like she is. duidamasterXD 9,627 December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 Well Trixie was never evil, just a bit of a douchebag, and even douchebags can feel bad when they enslave an entire town, turn it into a shrine to their ego, and horribly abuse its residents. I didn't really find it all that out of character. The only thing that I am slightly confused about was that after Trixie ripped off the alicorn amulet and replaced it with Twilight's she was still going off about conquering Equestria, maniacally laughing and trying to bake the best pony with lightning bolts. I guess that will be handwaved as the corruption not having worn off yet? Maybe the apology was insincere, I don't know. It's all in the interpretation. Arcanel 3,041 December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 For some reason, she reminds me of Rainbow Dash. Well, she kind of is. Both are the ponies with the biggest ego around for sure. It really takes a lot for them to swallow their pride and make the right things sometimes (in a sense, Magic Duel and The Mysterious Mare Do Well are similar, in that ponies are overwrought with similar emotions, like jealousy, greed and revenge, and both need a HUGE event to make them realize their mistakes. Trixie is corrupted by the Alicorn Amulet AND her own sense of revenge against Twilight, while Rainbow Dash was "corrupted" by greed). At least that's how I see it. 1 My OC Arcanel: http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/arcanel-r2118 My OC Xiomara: http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/xiomara-r5412 ~Member of the Great Pony Analyzers~

Babs Seed of last episode was redeemed. That was perfect. This time, I felt this was ABSOLUTELY out of Trixie's character to be sorry. I completely agree! Aside from the excuse that the alicorn amulet was corrupting her, nothing in all of Trixie's character history on the show has ever suggested that she would at any point apologize for anything for any reason! She was a jerk before she got the alicorn amulet; the amulet just made her even more of a jerk! Unlike Babs, we've never been shown or told what her motivation for being a jerk is, so we cannot possibly infer any explanation for any of her behavior, except for her attempt to get revenge on Twilight this episode. I'll accept that she is trying to redeem herself, I will, but that doesn't mean that it didn't come out of nowhere, because it bucking came out of nowhere!!! 1 "You'll hunt me. Dusty Soul 2,611 December 2, 2012 Share December 2, 2012 That was the only part of the episode that seemed awkward and out of place. Two-of-Hearts 168 December 2, 2012 Share December 2, 2012 Overall, I like Trixie's appology despite it not being totally in her character. I just wish it had been delayed for a few more seasons. Trixie should have been a reoccuring villian IMO, and her redemption/forgiveness should have been more drawn out and developed. I do also think its interesting that the episode was qued right after the Babs Seed ep. Don't want to read too far into it, but still. Just repeat to yourself it's just a show, I should really just relax. -Mystery Science Theater 3000 You're dead if you aim only for kids, adults are just kids grown up anyway. -Walt Disney
Snowfeathers 43 December 2, 2012 Share December 2, 2012 Well, I liked the episode. In general. However, the apology just felt... stock. Like every single other "I'm a villain in a cartoon, I have to be sorry after 20 minutes of my evil before the credits roll, please accept my apology". Granted, her helping Twilight with the animals was sweet, and her running away was adorable, but it just feels like they could have made it a little more fleshed-out, or something. I'm not saying I dislike The Good and Powerful Trixie- she's fine and dandy, though I'm also not saying she should become a recurring character by any means.
