Anthropomorphic Rainbow Dash sitting on a truck

I have been partially involved in drawing some anthropomorphic ponies lately, thus allowing myself to expand my drawing skills to a new level other than what I know already. So, as most of you may know from viewing my other posts, vehicles are my thing especially American vehicles. After many random time intervals in school working on this drawing, I ended up with my anthropomorphic Rainbow Dash sitting on the tailgate of a 1985 Chevrolet C/K (Scottsdale/Custom Deluxe) Stepside, of course with a 350cu in 5.7 Liter V8 under the hood with a stock 175 hp with 275 foot-pounds of torque. You can't have that without a four speed on the floor and a cherry bombed exhaust with dual pipes coming out both sides. It'd sound mean. And on the looks portion, of course we have the BF Goodrich T/A Radial tires on her (same ones as the 1983 GMC Vandura G-1500 used in the hit 1980's TV series "The A-Team" had) The truck is probably sitting on a four-inch lift plus the tires. Other than that, she's stock.

 

Anyways, enough of my random rambling on about vehicles, here's the picture (drawn in pencil) & under it is my first drawing of Rainbow Dash in a anthropomorphic style.

Actually very cute. ^^ If you learned photoshop or gimp someday, you could take that talent to the next level. :3

Though gimp is a little more simple compared to Photoshop...

Wow, this one looks really detailed, I love how you have Rainbow sitting on the truck, she looks so adorable I am really liking this altogether

Thank you! I also figured it was combining my automobile drawing skill with a new skill I am still developing, for one of my first anthropomorphic drawings, I think it's fairly decent.

I try my best to incorporate some details into the picture to give it a certain feel, especially with the cars, you can't possibly have enough detail when it comes to drawing a vehicle!

I actually do a lot of work with Gimp & Paint.net, along with my drawings I do some graphic design stuff (nothing too major) but I know my way around. I have Photoshop but I never really liked it much, it seemed most of what Gimp & Paint.net could do combined, Photoshop could do as well (I'm sure there is other stuff I do not know of, I'm kind of stuck in the "hard way" of doing most graphical design images).

Mostly my work is done with Microsoft Paint, which I have been using for years upon years. People would be surprised what you can do with MS Paint, I definitely was.

Thanks! I always say the detail makes the picture in most cases,this is definitely one of those cases, especially with the truck. I have grown on this picture a bit, at first I was skeptical on how it would turn out considering Rainbow Dash is much smaller in this picture than the one that basically takes up the whole page but it seemed to work out alright.

Definitely one of the better anthros I 've seen so far.

In both pics the curvature of Dash's left boob makes it look like its stuck behind her left arm. From that perspective, the outer outline should appear rounded out to us.

The feathers in the wings could use some structuring; thy look a bit messy at the moment.

In the first pic, her tail could be a bit more aligned with whatever-its-called-she's-sitting-on.

You seem to have gotten a bit overboard wth th folds in her jeans in the second pic

I really like the anthro style ponies, and this is a great example of one, overall it looks wonderful, also adorable! You've done a fine job.
