Have A Pony vs. Be A Pony

I would like to be a pony if I could choose what OC I wanna be. To me, it would be great to be a unicorn or an alicorn, though I do prefer unicorn because of my fear of heights.

Sorry, but I would reject the offer. Being a pony, at least I'll know there's pain involved in the transformation to brace myself for, but leaving human society not even to go to Equestria, not even with any method of communication with my family, it wouldn't be worth it for me.

 

Having a pony would've been great if I wasn't in charge of the only pony in the world. Ponies would have a better chance of fitting in with society if there was a whole species, not to mention that this single pony would be far too precious to introduce to society in case it gets killed somehow. In fact, it would be devastating just to give me the single pony in the first place.

I'd certainly become a pony. I can deal with the transformation. It would be excruciating, yes, I'd probably have a whole lot to learn to do again but it's a one time deposit for a life as a pony. It may not be Equestria but what is Equestria but a bunch of pont settlements. We'd make our own Equestria with its own unique host of characters. We may not know the Mane 6 but we could very well make our own. I'd be a unicorn because I've always been fascinated by fictitious magic, the ability to flip a bird to Newton and his Laws of Physics. But I think the big bonus is the Cutie Mark. Graduated from high school, getting a degree in Game Art and Animation in college, and I still have my doubts if this is what I need to do. It would be such a boon if I could just look at my flank to help keep me on a focused path.

I'd say neither, but you blatantly said the ponies would not be homesick or miss Equestria, so the biggest problem there. You also said they'd be happy here. That means even if they'd be ridiculed, they'd be happy here on Earth. That takes away all kinds of guilt.

 

I'd definitely go with having a pony. Preferably Pinkie Pie. I'm sure she'd have no problem or concern befriending so many people in the real world. Plus, that slight chance we'd get to Equestria would be AMAZING.

Have a pony. I'm about that life. The only problem with being a pony is that all my hobbies include the use of hands and manual dexterity, haha.

 

Plus, just imagine having a crappy day at work. You drive home through the rain, get stuck in traffic, before finally making it home. You check the mail, and that important package you've been waiting for STILL isn't here. Heaving a sigh, you open the front door, hang up your coat,and walk in to the living room. Just as you enter the room, you're tackled by Fluttershy and hardcore hugs ensue. Suddenly, your day is awesome.

Definitely have a pony. The transformation process would be unbearable, you would never be able to go to Equestria and you would have to isolate yourself. However, having a pony would let you go to Equestria, you would still be awesome, I would be permanently happy with a pony, and me and Vinyl could rave all day and all night. I used to want to be a pony. but then, I have this amazing girlfriend, as well as so many friends I would leave behind here. 

so then, have a pony? no, too much work, and I would get jealous of the pony awesome. plus, I doubt that this world could really satisfy a pony.

Ok, this is a hard decision for me. So ill give my pros and cons.

 

A) Be a pony, but only if i go to Equestria. In this case i also get to Have a Pony. Would be cool, but itd be hard to give up my friends on Earth and learn how to be a pony besides. Coin Flip.

 

Be a pony on Earth, nah, ill pass.

 

C) Have a pony, on earth. Pass as well, not fair to the pony.

I agree with , I think the only reason I would ever choose to become a pony is if I could eventually go to Equestria. Excluding myself from human society and going through that kind of pain is just too much for me.

That and I think life as a pony would be harder than you think it is. 

 

I also agree with @Harmonic Revelations on the whole keep a pony idea, I don't want to do that just for my own enjoyment and pleasure. It sounds both selfish and evil...

Huh.. I'm kinda surprised that Have A Pony is more popular... I would rather be a pony because not only would I live in Heaven then, (assuming that's part of the choice.. I really didn't read the OP much. x3) but to put it in perspective for you others, I could also have a pony. Just think, if we were all ponies, we could make friends with all the other ponies we know and love. And I think in today's society, that having one would be terrible for the poor thing.. And you. Not only would your pony constantly have people likely trying to take it away, you would have to hide them for both their and your own safety... But then again, maybe I just live in a horribly misunderstood world... And I have to add, if Be a Pony doesn't have us living in Equestria, I think I'd probably try to go for Have a Pony too... Maybe. I would think about this a lot more if actually faced with the option.

Id pick the pet, I woulden't want to live in equestria, but visiting would be awesome! Like 70% of the other bronies, I'd pick Rainbow Dash, and we would start something like the mob, hire for guns, bank robery, prostitution, drugs, you name it, we be the king.

The have offer sounds cooler to me, honestly. As long as I had the means of supporting them anyway, plus the chance of going to Equestria is pretty nice, so if I had to say I'd be up for one impossible fantasy it'd be that.

Firstly, theres no way I'm just going to walk away from a real wizard. I'm taking one option or the other, my curiosity would demand it.

 

After checking the scenarios, I wouldn't be a good person to have a pony... I'm really bad at lying and I already have enough of a grudge towards the news agencies as it is. I would be too worried about the media hawks learning about that pony's existence to enjoy their presence.

 

Being my ghost ponysona though?... That could be interesting. I'd probably have to experience death on top of the transformation (yikes), but the payoff would be worth it. Immortality: check!... Well, technically, but on the downside, I'd have to exile myself. As long as I wouldn't be alone though, I think I'd be fine. I like having a few close friends as opposed to numerous colleagues.

You put a lot of restrictions and cons to both choices which is why I chose neither. If I were to be a pony, I would only do it if that meant our Earth became something like Equestria (so everybody became a pony) and the problems we have now would disappear. If I were to have a pony companion.. well I'd sure feel sorry that she can't be with her kind even if she has no regrets being away from home. Seems like a My Little Dashie problem.

That is an easy decision.  I would want Pinkie Pie as my lifelong companion!

 

Normally I would not want to take Pinkie Pie away from her home, but the rules said that she would be happy on Earth and not miss Equestria.  It is probably the case that she would not have any sort of existence as a real living being at all if I did not have her conjured up into our world.  I guess I would have to clarify that with the wizard.

 

If it turned out that Pinkie Pie did have a real existence that I would be disrupting by choosing her as my companion, then I might make a change.  I would maybe choose to have one of her duplicates as my companion instead, since they pretty much have nothing to lose.  And they are almost as good as the original Pinkie.
