This is a vector?

Damn flare.

You are good.

well I think the correct term is vector graphic, but it has become known I guess that vector can refer to a vector ghaphic, now this vector is of course rasterized, however with the photoshop file it can be resized or exported in a format that makes it not rasterized.

now the actual show is made with vectors, and I think that most, if not all things in flash are vectors, and flash is used to animated My Little Pony.

Flare! I think you're getting better... or maybe I'm just sleep deprived too.

Thanks for your kind words....

Not too shabby Flare, especially for a third attempt.

The strokes around the ear and face are looking relatively faultless, and it's nice to see that you're one of those people who uses a transformed elipse for the eyes, rather than attempting to pen-tool them to a clean finish. While there's the odd sharp stroke here and there, and a couple of overlapping endpoints, I'd say you've done quite a nice job. Just keep on experimenting with those Bézier curves, and you'll be producing flawless vectors in no time. Looking forward to seeing your next attempt!

Thanks, unfortunately, I won't be making a vector for a while, my mum decided to invite a ton of little kids who are some how related to me, which means I will be busy for the next few days, which kinda screws up my schedule, and I will probably forget how I did all this by tomorrow morning. Very nice job Flare! I notice that the few flaws in the stroke seem to be in locations were you have place a new anchor along a smooth line. Try to avoid this as most (if not all) curves are two anchors on either end, without a third in the middle. The fewer anchors you use, the smoother the final product.

An example of this is the inner strokes of the mane. Even 'S' curves like this can be done with only two anchors.

I hope this makes sense to you, it was a bit hard for me to explain in my sleep deprived state. I look like AJ right now. :D

Thanks for the feed back, in my next vector I will try to use the least amount of anchor points I can while still making it look good. Edited by Flare

Dang. How'd you get the hang of this so fast?

;;Turns on Lazor Detail Examine Eyes;;

Applejack's chest has a really sharp angle randomly right there, the upper part of the mane has lines of inconsistent thickness (the one near the hat), and the tail randomly turns thick, then thin, then thick. Also, her nose is too pointy and the mouth/nose line are a little too... angled and sharp. But once again, you show us that you are GOOD at the eyes. Really, you are amazing. How do you do that, Flate? Those eyes are flawless. The gradients are perfect. And Applejack's freckles are excellent.

You are extremely talented.

Thanks, Yeah with the tail, I swear I did it 10 times before giving up and leaving it the same way.

I find the eyes easy, because I have worked out a method of using the vector tools in photoshop and using folders and vector masks to make it look nice.

I didn't spend that much time on the eyes as I did in my previous vectors, I must be getting better at them.

thanks for the feedback.
