Twilight Sparkle AKA Best Pony.

 

I've tried other forums in the past & MLP Forums seems to be the most kind & accepting that I've seen.

@, I see your point but in Twilight's case, she was the mane character from the beginning. Whereas Starlight was just an antagonist who was made a student of Twilight when she already had another student, Sunset Shimmer. Since the writers didn't want to bring Sunset back at the time, we got stuck with Starlight.
