Well, to clarify, the misspelling of “diabeetus”, comes from a joke that something is so absurdly cute, that it causes diabetes. Also, anything can be used as a joke, satire, or slang like in this case. Regardless of the case, it is by no means a disrespect or mockery to your friend or any other victim of diabetes. A different story is doing so directly, specially at the expense of any victim of any disease. If you still have a problem with me using “diabeetus” as a slang for pony cuteness to the extreme, I fear that’s something you have to sort out. my self censorship or anyone else’s won’t help you
