Doctor Whooves Cake! (or How to Confuse a Baker)

So I bought a cake from a fantastic bakery near me for my birthday, and decided to have it custom decorated with a picture of Doctor Whooves. I laughed like crazy when I sent in the pic for the design and the decorator messaged me back and said "so is the pony with the syringe in his mouth the important part of this picture?". Needless to say, with a little explaining she was fine, and the cake turned out awesome! Have any of you ever made/gotten any pony themed food for special occasions? I know the cake was a highlight of my birthday!

That's awesome. Too bad they didn't get the cutie mark of the hour glass in there. I hope the cake was delicious all in all though!

I've never had occasion to order something like that, though the idea has crossed my mind. Maybe I'll order a cake for the lulz sometime as I doubt I'll have a legitimate reason any time soon.

Nice! They didn't get all the details but you can't really do that when decorating with icing. I'd say they did an amazing job considering what they had to work with.

 

It's definitely much better than my birthday cake, which was also pony themed but...

 

 

As you can see, it's not a G4 pony. This is what happens when your family supports you but doesn't understand the different generations. I asked for Rarity. I got... this.

 

At least I got another cake to make up for it.

Oh man Ive never gotten/made a pony cake before. It looks really fun to do. Im sure I can make what the ponys look like by cutting up some homemade fondant, as I use that for shapes.

Yeah, the lack of cutiemark disappointed me, but it was still delicious! It was a white cake with cherry frosting and chocolate filling, so it tasted exactly like a chocolate-covered cherry. Now I need to go eat more!

Oh, and it only cost about 14-16 dollars, I think. It was a really good deal.
