[SPOILER ALERT] About Cadence

Alright, so I know that Princess Celestia rules the sun, and that Princess Luna rules the moon. According to upcoming finale, Twilight would transform into an alicorn as a princess. Logically, Twilight rules between Day to Night. (Not Night to Day, xD)

 

What does Cadence rules for and what does she have in common with crystal ponies? Or maybe, did she undergone the same test as Twi did?

I'm pretty sure the show explains it well enough. Maybe not outright like Celestia and Luna but it's clear Cadence is associated with love and happiness. When the Crystal Empire is under control of a good person it spreads love and joy thought Equestria so it's pretty safe to say Cadence represents love and joy etc.

Cadence uses the power of love (gag). It isn't really a time... and I highly doubt Twilight will rule over Twilight due to her really have no job to do there.

I have googled up some definitions about 'Cadence' and it's a musical term in italian, I guess it's not related to her status at all. I don't know, it could be just me.

It would be inappropriate to try to fit Cadence or Twilight Sparkles in a mold of Celestia or Luna because the two parties have a different origin in terms how they were created by the story-writers. Originally Mrs. Faust have decided to make Celestia and Luna the only existing alicorn in the series and even she had admitted that she was shocked to see Cadence as an alicorn due to this.

 

Therefore it would be more appropriate to consider Celestia and Luna to be a different kind of alicorn regardless of whatever attempts the current story-writers may try to do to fit the string together purely due to this difference in the conceptual origin.

Cadence uses the power of love. Love brought Shining Armor and Cadence together to defeat Queen Chrysalis, so it would be fair to say Cadence only rules over Love & Joy the elements that keeps Canterlot together.

You forget that Cadence's full name is Mi Amore Cadenza though, which is Italian for "my love cadence" So technically her name does have to do with her power of love.
