Hello everypony! I thought that I would see what movies you all are anticipating/looking forward to this year. There are several good movies coming this year. And if you could, give a brief explanation as to why you really want to see a specific movie.

 

Let me start.

 

Star Trek: Into Darkness

I really like the reboot and this one looks to have an epic villain. They have done a good job at keeping people guessing at who the villain will be. Currently it's speculated that it's either Khan or Mitchell.

 

Iron Man 3

I am very interested to see how this play out. Given the the villain is the Mandarin. I read up on him and he sounds like quite a challenge for Tony.

 

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone

Jim Carrey and Steve Carell. Nuff said.

 

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

I really enjoyed An Unexpected Journey, and I really like the Lord of the RIngs trilogy. So naturally I can't wait.

 

Man of Steel

The direction the trailer implies makes me really interested in this movie.

 

Grown Ups 2

Need I say more?

 

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

I liked the the first, so I am very interested to see what happens next.

 

These are the ones I look forward to the most. There are several other movies that I will see, but these are the ones I must see.

Wreck it ralph 2 - it be interesting to see what they do with Mario since they've confirmed that he will be in the sequel

 

DC comic based movie about less popular heroes or even the movie being based around villains, I'd like huntress and booster gold.

Fast&Furious 6 looks good (i love racing action XD).  Looks like they're taking a more action oriented path for the movie, as seen in the trailer.

Also, the AVGN movie is coming. YESH

The Incredibles 2 - I loved the original one, and I would like to see how the franchise has evolved.

Pirates of the Carribbean 5 - Jack Sparrow, pirates, girls, don't need more reasons.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - Don't know why, but it kinda attracts me into watching it.

Percy Jackson 2 - Went to see the 1st movie on its release and I find it awesome! Would love to see more.

300: Battle of Artemisia - Because SPARTAAAAA! That's why.

Hobbit 2 - It's an amazing movie, and would know how it continues since the 1st ending.. well... wasn't *that* good.

 

And, of course;

 

Hunger Games 2 - Purely because #1 was such an amazing movie.

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR ANTMAN SINCE IT WAS RUMORED IN 2010!!! AND...

 

It comes out in 2014...

 

Not much. I guess any super hero movies, but still not much.

 

What Im not waiting for is the next Hunger Games, or as I like to call it; 'Bad CGI Fire Part II'.

For me, it's 3 movies.

 

Iron Man 3: I missed seeing Tony Stark on the big screen in his own movie, as opposed to a whole ensemble with him. Time to kick back to more kickass AC/DC while watching the literal man of steel fight.

 

G.I. Joe: Retaliation: The G.I. movie before was the first movie I ever saw 3 times in theaters, and the only one to date. I loved it that much. I'm super excited to see how the Joes go against Cobra (Not to mention the whole scene with London getting obliterated looks cool).

 

Pacific Rim: By far, this movie is the one I'm most excited for. Giant robots fighting against giant alien sea monsters? Yes, yes please!

Me, I am looking forward for Despicable Me 2, and Wreck-It Ralph 2, I loved the first of both those, and I want more :3

I didn't know Wreck-it Ralph 2 comes out this year (I'm not sure it even does). Now that you tell me that, yaaay! More Vanellope time !

From what I've read, WiR2 will be about online and console gaming so I imagine that Ralph's arcade version will be ported to home consoles which is where we'll most likely see Mario. I am very excited but I don't think it will be out in 2013.

 

 

There are only two movies that make my antler twinge with excitement: Evil Dead & the new Star Trek.

I didn't know the next Hobbit movie and also the next Hunger Games movies were coming out this year. I'm definitely excited to see both of those!!!

That game was an insult. Throughout the whole movie I kept saying

 

"Oh this part would make a great game! No, this part would! Oh Discord,THIS would be amazing for a game!"

 

then I watch the reviews for the game and was like

I completely forgot about the AVGN movie. *Facehoof!* I can't believe that I forgot about it. A tale about the lost and buried copies of the Atari ET game. It's going to be epic!

Meh, this year doesn't look very promising for me. I've only two movies of 2013 in mind that I really want to see, and those are The World's End (from Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim director Edgar Wright) and whatever Woody Allen is releasing this year.

Despicable Me 2 and The Croods. That's about it. I don't even know if those are 2013 or 2014 but I'm definitely looking forward to them.

I'd say Star Trek Into Darkness and The Desolation of Smaug are my top two.  Both of them are sequels, but they're sequels of damn good adventure movies.

 

It'll definitely be interesting to see how Monsters University turns out.  After the atrocious Cars 2 (the concept was poorly thought out, the script was cringe-worthy, and it had one of the most annoying protagonists ever) and the quite-a-bit-better-but-not-great Brave (I loved the characters, animation, and setting, but the plot had little intrigue and it didn't really live up to its own potential) Pixar is in a weird position.  Here's hoping they don't disappoint.  Here's also hoping that I didn't just jinx it.

 

Aside from those, there isn't really anything that interests me.  Nope, nothing at all.  Okay, I might be tempted to see Burt Wonderstone, but don't tell anyone.

Alright...let's see...

 

Hangover Part 3- I loved the first movie, and the second one was alright. Even though I have my doubts that 3 will pass the other two in terms of comedy, I feel as if it will do just fine.

 

21 Jump Street 2- In March 2012, the producers announced that they were planning a sequel. I can only hope for it to come out in 2013. The first one was my favorite movie of 2012.

 

Monsters University- Who doesn't want to see Sulley and Mike again?

 

The Great Gatsby- I've read the book many times, and it would be nice to see how it differs from the older versions.

 

Thor: The Dark World: Thor was an amazing movie overall. It would awesome to see the sequel later this year.
