A fanfic suggestion?

I'm sure you've all heard about the fanfic "Cupcakes." I was just thinking about what it'd be like if the other mane cast had helped Pinkie Pie, and why no one has pointed this out. (This is mostly taking Cupcake version of Pinkie Pie and Applebloom. The events won't matter in this). This is not to be taken as cannon. It's just something I thought of.

 

 

It's true that the cannon cast have morals and gain them from experience, but since Pinkie Pie is already evil, then couldn't she get the others? I imagine Pinkie being a mind controller and could get anypony to do what she wanted.

 

 

For Twilight to join then Pinkie would just have to say something about how Twilight would gain more friendship lessons from turning ponies into cupcakes, and we know how Twilight loves to learn about friendship. Or she could convince Twilight that she isn't Celestia's best student and cause Twilight to turn into her "Lesson Zero" form.

 

 

Once Twilight is on board then she could help in three ways: 1.) She could gain information on the ponies and see which ones wouldn't be missed. 2.)If anypony suspects the cupcake operation then Twilight will be able to convince them that there isn't such a thing, then life would go on. 3.) Remember that love spell she did in "Lesson Zero"? Well, let's say Twilight perfected it and was able to--basically--brainwash a pony into falling in love with her and allowed Pinkie to make them into cupcakes. The perfected part would be that when other ponies look at the brainwashed one, they wouldn't fall in love with him.

 

 

Of course after a few killings, she probably wouldn't do number three since she wants to hear them scream.

 

 

Next up is Applejack: We know that at the end of "Cupcakes" Applebloom was shown to be a regular help to Pinkie Pie. We also know that the Apple family stick together. Of course Applejack would try to save her sister and make her change her ways, but Pinkie Pie would probably threaten to kill Applebloom if Applejack says anything. Applejack would then be forced to join and soon not care after a few kills. She could also get Big Macintosh to help out if they need it, since two of his family members are doing this. He'd probably keep the farm going when Applejack was at her "second job."

 

Applejack would break the legs of anypony that tried to escape, or if they were too hard to bring in. This would make it easier to make cupcakes.

 

 

The best part is that they could easily overwork Applejack. When Applejack was over worked in "Applebuck season" she didn't make a lot of sense and couldn't hear very well. Now if Applejack was forced to overwork and released to the public, she'd run into town to call for help, but the ponies would know that she's just overworked and not believe of word of her--she'd probably wouldn't talk in a complete sentence: "Ponies! Cupcakes! Help!" The ponies would say how they want cupcakes, which Applejack would reply with something unrelated due to her messed up hearing.

 

Next is Rainbow Dash. Now I said before that the events in the cupcakes, such as her death, wouldn't really be presented in this. Anyway, RD seems like a hard pony to convince to join, but is she really? All Pinkie Pie would have to do is convince RD that she isn't the best flyer, how anypony can easily forget about her (Mare-do-well), and how the Wonderbolts will never accept her. Basically shatter her dreams and rebuild her. She'd easily go into a mental breakdown like she had in "Sonic Rainboom." And isn't she loyal to her friends?

 

Now we got Applejack on hurting the ponies, so what's RD left to do? The best thing: she can use the weather to her advantage. We know that RD is on the weather team in Ponyville and how she likes to slack off. Now if RD just happened to forget to make it rain for a few days, then they'd have to make up for it like they did in the slumber party episode (I forgot the name). She could trap a pony in this weather and force them into wherever the others are waiting. She could also kill the pony in the weather, and transport the body to the others.

 

There's probably a loop hole in that, but that's all I could think of for her.

 

Next is Rarity: Rarity would be easy to convince to join like RD. All Pinkie would do is convince Rarity that her dresses aren't as fabulous as she thinks, and she'll have the same breakdown she had in "Suited for Success."

 

Rarity could be the pony that leads the victims to their death, assuming Twilight doesn't use the love spell. We've seen how easily Rarity can convince a pony to do whatever she wants, so wouldn't she be able to lead them to the place and have the others take care of them?

 

Next is Fluttershy. "Oh, there's no way they'd get Fluttershy to do it!" I can hear you saying, but think about this: Fluttershy is easily convinced to do things. She is also a push over. In "Putting your hoof down" Iron Will turned sweet Fluttershy into a beast who snapped at everypony. In the same episode she let Angel smack her around--of course she solved that by using the stare. She even modelled for Photo Finish so she wouldn't upset Rarity!

 

We also know that Fluttershy is mentally scared for life due to bullies from her foalhood. Now take all this into effect, plus Pinkie Pie's brainwashing talk, and you have a dark version of Fluttershy.

 

She could make her animal friends clean up the useless remains of the ponies, so no trace could be picked up by detectives.

 

Now by this time you're probably thinking, "What about Celesita? Wouldn't she noticed something’s up?" Well you'd think so, but there's two things we have to look out.

 

1.) How often does Celestia visit and how long does she stay? The longest she stayed in Ponyville was in either "A bird in the hoof" or "Keep calm and flutter on" but what did she really do? She mostly chatted with the mane six for five minutes, or gave them a task, then left soon after.

 

2.) Twilight is somewhat like a reporter for Ponyville to Celestia. Twilight, who is now in on the cupcake operation, could send false friendship reports to Celestia about how things are great in Ponyville, and how she's learning about friendship: "Dear Celestia: Today I learned that doing a task by yourself is hard work, but doing it with friends makes it easier and more fun." Does that seem like she's killing ponies in her spare time?

 

Q: "What about Spike? Can't he report to Celestia about this?"

 

A: Spike can easily be bought off with gems. Rarity could also convince him to not say a word to anypony.

 

Q: "Where could they do this without anypony in town noticing?"

 

A: I'd place them in the Everfree forest, since everypony is scared to go into it. This would void some of my points in the eariler statements I made, but whatever. I'm just saying.

 

I put this as a fanfic suggestion in case anyone wanted to write this. Also I could have probably added more stuff to this, but it's almost three in the morning.

Also, I've read Cupcakes and I have to say... it's not very good.  It's a story written with the purpose of being dark and edgy with absolutely no sense as to why any of this is happening in the first place.  Why did Pinkie start making cupcakes?  How in the **** does she get away with this for so long?  What would drive her to do such a thing in the first place?  How in the **** did she get Apple Bloom in this?

 

This story winds up answering little in the end and leaving nothing but questions.  This only came about because of that episode where Pinkie goes nuts.  It just wasn't all that enjoyable of a read and I'm not even sure why people still showboat it around getting others to read it.

 

 

 

 

As to what you're saying up above, just why would any of them even agree to this in the first place?  Pinkie's attempts at getting other ponies to automatically turn from their moral beliefs with the flick of a switch just doesn't make sense. 

 

Twilight being convinced because Pinkie said she's a horrible student?  What evidence does she have for this?  Twilight's a fairly smart character and she'd immediately be on guard with that. 

 

Rarity being convinced because Pinkie says her clothing sucks?  Why would Rarity believe that?  Pinkie isn't a fashioner of clothing so her opinion isn't really a strong point to use convincing her to kill other ponies.

 

I could give you other reasons as to why it would be silly and strange for the others to just breakdown or go along with this, but I don't think it would really matter.  You'll either take what I said and disregard it entirely (especially since it seems you're a fan of Cupcakes) or you'll actually listen and think about what I said. 

 

I like writing stories.  I like reading stories.  But I don't like reading a story written up with no reason other than to be dark and edgy, especially if it's not a very strong story to start with.

I like writing stories.  I like reading stories.  But I don't like reading a story written up with no reason other than to be dark and edgy, especially if it's not a very strong story to start with.

 

I agree with all of that, expect the disrgarding part. I know what I posted was stupid, but I'm the type to just post what I think, then try to forget about it in the morning. Anyway, I don't like cupcakes that much, but of the writing and being somewhat stupid. I liked it because it turned an innocent show into that, but now that I've grown up a bit I realize I like psychological stories. If there were more info on the story, it could be one.

 

Anyway, please don't hate me for this. It was something I wrote at three in the morning, and I was hoping  someone could just get some ideas, or something. It was kinda like a challenge thing I set for myself, I guess.

 

Anyway, thank you for your comment and I will try to be more mature in the future. Also, I did mean canon, but I typed too fast. I also have a spelling problem, so please don't make fun if I mess up too much.

 

P.S. the Applebloom thing was **** stupid! Why would she turn evil? Pinkie seemed to have some kind of mental thing, but her? I've been trying to figure that out for a long time now.

As far as ideas go... I don't find it very convincing that all of the mane six would be coerced into doing such things. Pinkie's freakout in 'Party For One' left some interpretation as to what happens if Pinkie goes crazy, but if you really want to have a dark story like this, you need a more believable set-up. And if you really wanted every member of the mane six to be on board, you'd need a hell of a lot of build-up and reasoning behind it. Personally, I wouldn't even attempt such a project, simply because I don't know how I'd piece it all together convincingly. It's much easier to write grimdark if you focus on just one character, then work out their motives.

 

I don't know about you, but a fic about the mane six accidentally killing somepony and then trying to hide it (especially from Celestia) would be a lot more convincing. (If it was somepony important, and a nation-wide search ends up getting carried out, then all the better) It's merely a thought.

This is...actually surprisingly well thought out. You put in methods and reasons for the Mane Six members' breakdowns and how they could Pinkie Pie in making the cupcakes, so for that I definitely give you props.

 

That said, I am not going to write this. I'll let somepony else do it.

The story never once tried to explain itself.  It was nothing more than a story with Pinkie killing ponies.  That's it.

...Now, I know a certain story that's got a nice, lengthy read with a lot of entertaining stuff.  It's a tad mundane in the beginning, but he wrote it about one year back when he first started and it was to introduce the characters and reasoning's to why they did that stuff. 

 

Pacing, if you will. 

 

Sadly, with what's IN the story, I cannot put it here without some admin probably deleting my post and giving me a warning.  Unless I'm allowed to post that stuff?  I know people discuss Cupcakes here (which is gore) and the story has that, but it also has other 'adult material'.  Can someone answer this?  I'm interested to know.
