Krampus 197 January 8, 2014 Share January 8, 2014 Well, let's see here...I've really only been banned twice. One time I kind of deserved it, the other was complete stupidity on the mod's part. The first time was on a Minecraft server I had just joined. The rules were no PVP. However, when I spawned in there was a bunch of people in front of me and there was a user running towards me. By instinct I punched him and about 5 seconds later, I was banned for breaking rules. You see, before I played a ton of PVP servers and wanted a beak. But it seems instincts got the better of me. After I saw that, i ended up laughing at my own stupidity. The second time was less funny. I was on a random TF2 server, playing Scout. I had the Mad Milk equipped as my secondary and was currently using it. We were the defending team and I thought if I threw the milk at the waiting players, it would just stop at the gate. Nope! It went through the gate and hit the Scout on the other side. First I was kicked. So I logged back on and asked why did they kick me. They said I broke the rules. Apparently I wasn't supposed to throw or put anything near the opening gate. That is completely stupid, as that is kind of what you do and told hm so. Riddle 102 January 9, 2014 Share January 9, 2014 I got banned from a role play group that was doing DBZ themed like role play and some half saiyen jerk blew a ki beam though my OC's chest with out asking me if he could or a warning to give me a chance to block or post any action so he did a god mod (which said in the rules no god modding) and i pmed the mods, did highlights and such on the fight with rules and my side of things but as said "owe u can just make a whole new oc and keep playing...." also i been playing my Lita for three weeks in this rp... and they said just make a knew one, i said no and such and well next day i kicked out.... yahh.... still pisses me off... I understand how it might be annoying, but threatening to ban or kick someone simply for correcting seems to be a bit much. Well, most of these are from 2012 or the year before. Someone accused me of using hacks when I was killing people with my combat knife, which is why I left the annoying CoD fan base and moved to the Battlefield fan base. Hue hue hue. I almost got banned from a TF2 server because some little kid actually thought the AWPer hand was some sort of OP weapon (I made fake stats up by saying it shoots through walls and always crits), that's why you don't make kids under the age of 12 an admin TF2 server owners. I also am serving a 100 year ban for fucking up somebody's wiki (as revenge for being a dickwipe to me and a ton of other people on dA) and he still doesn't know I did it. I now have that account back, even though I don't play anymore. Certain NASCAR Forum: Well, let's see.... Currently have 2 pages of interactions/infractions. First warning was when I got into a minor fight with another member, who actually was one of the cool guys there. 1 warning from off topic posts. We have a Gran Turismo Discussion, and I used to/will soon again own a league. Some drama there, so I got a warning. Here's where things get interesting. Huge fight one night in the above mentioned topic. Basically, I made a call that was questionable at best, and stole a win from another guy in the league. I gave him the win later, but he decides to take it to the next level and call me out on the thread. I responded and got in a tiff with him, basically defending myself. Here's what got me upset though, I get a week long ban (while having no points, might I remind you) while the guy that actually started the whole topic didn't even get a warning. 2 points for trolling, and once again, the GT5 thread. I forgot how this one happened TBH. Second was making a smart remark about a guy saying "you can't do anything about it" in response of a possible banable subject. Now, here's the thing that absolutely was BS. Our General Chat Thread was deleted last year (it's back now). There was a thread about the Chat Thread. Now, there is some inconsistent moderation there at times. Inappropriate stuff will sometimes warrant a slap on the wrist, but when this thread gets discussed, things go DEFCON 5. Ban hammers get pulled out, and everything goes crazy. Now, this mod doesn't like me. He gave me all of my GT5 thread infractions, has done a rant towards me on Twitter, and basically hates me. I said one thing in the thread, not even in a flaming manner. So this mod decides to look through my posts and get the first thing he can infract me for (he also did this to another member). 1 warning for spamming video and pictures. Got stuck on Space Mountain at Disneyland, got really claustrophobic, had an asthma attack, and didn't have an inhaler. One of the park attendants called for an ambulance which I turned down. Their onsite nurse screamed at me. They saw me as a liability, so they stuck me in a wheel chair, rolled me through the back area, out the front gate, then took the wheel chair back. I had to walk back to the car. I generally, if not always, follow the guidelines of a website I'm a part of. Not to be a brown-noser or anything. It's just that I understand the rules are there for a reason and if I don't follow them, consequences will follow, and I'd rather avoid that. The only kind of "banning" I've ever experienced was from one Skype group and the reason was pretty amusing. One of the moderators of the chat was literally an immature child, by age and behavior. He and I didn't get along very well because he had (and probably still does have) this little bratty attitude. So when he finally found a reason to, he banned me from the group. Which was okay anyway because I didn't really talk much in it. Speaking of which, that's another thing. I've been removed from a Skype group or two for "inactivity." Apparently, I was "obligated" to speak a lot in those groups, while in others it's okay to lurk and only talk when I feel like it and/or are able to. I prefer the latter, and that's how I run my own Skype groups. I think removing someone for inactivity is pretty silly at best. I have other priorities in life than constantly remaining active in a Skype group. So it only makes me happier that I'm not part of a group that's run that way. I really don't even know why I was banned ether, I never really talked much to people and I didn't have very many friends on that forum. So who knows, maybe an admin or mod just plane out didn't like me err something... But, I didn't care to much because there was a lot of elitism on that forum and, I wasn't very active there. Now, video game servers on the other hand... thats another story.
