Help! What Happens After Season 3!?

Hey, I am really nervous that this could be the beginning of the end for MLP FIM

I always heard that the cutie mark crusaders would never get their cutie marks because the show was meant to be made so that you could watch any random episode without having to watch another episode to understand what was going on. Like they never do anything too drastic in the episodes so there aren't any major changes so you don't have to have any previous knowledge to watch it. Well, making Twilight an ailcorn is a prity drastic thing. I don't see how they are going to do this. Haven't they already sold loads of Twilight Sparkle toys that she isn't an alicorn in? What happens then? I'm just afraid that this could be the start of hasbro starting to end the series, and I don't want that to happen at all. I just really need someone to say that I'm not right about this so I can stop worrying. So if you could, can you leave a comment with your opinion about the matter. I know I'm probably over reacting, but when a show like this means so much to you, it becomes more than a show to you. My Little Pony has gotten me through some hard times, every time I watch it, even if I'm in the worst mood you could possibly be in, it always makes me feel so happy. So if MLP were to go away, I don't know what I would do. Watching this show is more than just watching a show, it's being a brony, it's being a part of something, and that something is very important to me.

Not worth worrying about. My guess is we'll actually see the Equestria games as a multi-parter (pure speculation though) and the show won't change as much as people fear. There will be scenes of Twilight doing her princess duties but it's been confirmed she'll still be with her friends like usual. That change was just to signify that her training as a student over the course of the show is complete. She's still Twilight Sparkle, only with wings and a place in royalty. As for the CMC everything's up in the air. I'm sure they'll get their cutie marks eventually. If it's not the finale and it's own episode, they writers are talented and creative enough to take the characters in a fun new direction once that arc is complete.

 

So to sum up what I'm saying.. Who knows? But we should have faith because the creative team has shown themselves more than capable of doing good.

 

Edit: and if it makes you comforted to know.. Hasbro sees MLP as their highest priority brand and the franchise has never seen success like this before. They have no reason to end it because it's never been so financially viable till now. They won't kill their golden goose just for the sake of having an end. It's the highest rated show they have.

I think the show will just continue like it always did. Some things will probably change because Twilight is now a princess, but Tara Strong said in an interview that her character will remain the same and that she'll just stay in Ponyville. I'm sure the MLP crew will make the best of it.

Princess Cadence got the Crystal Empire, Princess Twilight (or would it be Princess Sparkle? Or does she still use her full name despite being a princess?) gets Ponyville and the mayor is booted out of town. Ok, maybe not, but I larfed at the idea.

Oh, oh, oh! Twilight gets into the Wonderbolts now because she has wings and RD gets jealous! ummm.... Nahhh, maybe not.

How about... Luna starts to hang out with Twilight and her friends because now she's an alicorn and "cool." Ehhh.... Still a little far fetched.

Let's try this again... There's a gap between the season 3 finale and the beginning of season 4 where Twilight is so occupied with her new position that she barely sees any of her friends and in the new season opener, she finds a way to spend more time with her friends and balance her royal duties somehow.... Meh....

All in all, I wouldn't worry much. Just so long as any predictions I come up with on a whim don't happen. Though speculating is always entertaining.

Don't worry buddy Season 4 is coming for sure, we just gotta wait for quite a while. Nothing to be nervous about, maybe the CMC will get their cutie marks when the series finally end (which I hope won't be for a while now) because that make such a perfect ending episode for them. 

Hasbro won't end MLP, if they do then they are making a huge mistake and will probably get a lot of angry mail from bronies asking them to bring the show back. Let's just cross our fingers Hasbro won't do that for a long time seeing that they already took down Fighting is Magic and removed Derpy from the show.

I don't think she'll be any different, I guess she'll be more 'royal' and become more powerful than before but I don't think that will change her personality.

Do not fear fellow Brony. These are friendship Is Magic writers. They could really surprise you. Like for example the Derpy appearences in the last episode where she was winking at us Bronies.  As for the Cutie Marks finally getting their cutie Marks I think they actually are. And Twilight changing her personality? I don't think so she might be a little more royal and she will probably have a TON of royal buisness to take care of but other then all that? NAH!!!!!!!! But, that sounds like a really good plot for a season 4 episode. Some villian casts some magical spell on Twilight to change her Personality and make her mean to her friends or something like that.

Changes will definitely happen and some might not be great but the show will go on. I hope they keep the atmosphere of the show the same other than that (aside from some awful unthought out episodes) I enjoy the show and if it goes on I am happy :l

Well season 4 has been confirmed. Until then just sit around here looking at fan-fics and other stuff. (or re watch every episode season 1-3) which is what i did waiting for season 3, only to find it was a short season. Good thing season four is 26 episodes...

As a side note I don't think twilights going to have her princess-ship for long. (Discord maybe?)

Hmmm maybe mayor mare and Twilight Sparkle might clash in terms of who is running Ponyville if Twilight Sparkle is nominated to be the princess of Ponyville. Twilight would have to run Ponyville otherwise she would be separated from her friends.

 

I just got thinking where did Twilight Sparkle even come from? She's obviously not from Ponyville. Was she originally a Canterlot resident?

I think that's a rather silly thing to be worried about. Did you expect MLP:FIM to keep producing new episodes for the rest of your life or something? Frankly, I think Twilight getting wings breathes new life into the show, just when it needed it. Four seasons is a pretty good run for a cartoon, but I suspect it'll make it to at least five.

Twilight's transformation is by far the most drastic change between episodes the show's seen yet.  Do you know what that means?

 

 

Things that people previously might have thought "There's no way they would do that!" are suddenly very real possibilities.  The CMC could get their cutie marks.  A new member of the mane 6 could be introduced.  Rainbow could join the Wonderbolts.  Lesbian relationships could be acknowledged.

 

More than anything, the end of Season 3 shows that the creators are willing to branch out beyond the friendship-problem-of-the-week formula.  The shift away from moral-focused episodes that we began to see in Season 2 will probably continue until FiM becomes a gritty crime drama is able to wrap up each inter-episode conflict without breaking continuity.

 

Then it will have my permission to die.

Well, I do have a good idea from something I saw.

 

 

Since Celestia has favorites and made Twilight an Alicorn. That makes Rarity the only unicorn now. This might fix it.

If this is a permanent change, I'm having trouble seeing how this could end up working out, though.  There are three ways I can think of to go about this, and none of them are particularly good:

 

1) Twilight Sparkle staying in Canterlot or wherever she's stationed as a new Princess, and the rest of the mane Six stay in Ponyville and become more of a supporting cast.  Yeah, that's not gonna happen.

 

2) the Mane Six stay with Twilight wherever she ends up stationed as her advisers/friends.  But then that means they left Ponyville, which I don't like either.

 

3) Twilight continues staying in Ponyville as an alicorn princess.  She'll go back to her home in the library.   As an alicorn princess.  Living in the library.  That would A) render the whole change pointless, and B ) be kind of hard to ignore.

Twilight will still be Twilight, there isn't really anything to worry about. She'll be with her friends, she'll still be in Ponyville, the only difference with her is that she just has a new pair of wings and well...she's a princess now. It's like (hypothetically speaking) when you get promoted to moderator or to a new position for a job, and the new season is basically about your journey after your previous one.

Life continuing on the same (more or less) with Twilight being an Alicorn Princess? Not buying it. It would be something that I as a viewer would find way too hard to ignore.
