movies/tv Remember this or not?

The other day, this just struck through my mind. As a young child I used to watch these movies ALL the time and have every single one of them still.

 

Any pony heard of "The land before time"?

 

It was a pretty popular kids movie series back in the day. The first movie was released in 1988. Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, and Spike.

 

Has anyone seen these films and still enjoy them?

I loved those movies as a kid, and I had all of them. In fact, I probably still have most of them on VHS. I believe Littlefoot was always my favorite.

I barely remember it at all, in fact if you never said the name and just the picture i probably wouldn't remember it. It was sooo long ago. Damn man. That nostalgia can really get to you...

I do remember these movies extremely well, the original one was one of my favorite movies during my childhood. I doubt they are very forgettable.

I watched the movie I think when I was like really young , I don't really think i'd care for it much anymore, but I use to like it when I was really young .

 

Not sure how young actually, however I don't know if I saw the series, considering I'm only 15 its even more likely I didn't .

Yes, I've seen The Land Before Time.  Yes, I think it's a great movie.  And yes, I think it is far and away, a superior movie to Dinosaur (though admittedly, that was still a pretty good movie).

I remember waking up as a kid at like 5 in the morning the watch the TV show. It's still on I'm pretty sure and the show still looks alright considering how long its been around for.

Hell yes. I remember watching this so many times during preschool. I don't think I ever made it through the whole movie. I think someone on here said it had a dark meaning, I forget if I realized it or not.

The Land Before Time movies made up about a third of all the movies I owned as a kid. I loved those moves to death! I didn't own the first one (though I had seen it) until this past summer. Due for a rewatch, I think.

I only ever liked the first one. It wasn't crappy like the more recent ones with bad voice acting and stupid plot lines.  My favorite one was Peitri followed closely by Ducky. I can still remember the narrators voice. I liked his voice for some reason. I also remember that Pizza Hut had some puppet sort of toy from it. I had Ducky and Little foot. I also remember that was one of the first movies that delt with death where there wasn't some way to bring the character back and that fight scene. I'll admit I cried a little. What I was like 6 at the time. Good movie, but the rest kinda sucked.

I loved those movies as a kid, they ran (almost) every week on television. Little foot was my favorite back then.

But today I'm shocked how the show seems to me now, they are almost scary to me

I apparently had terrible taste as a little kid and liked the sequels more than the original (maybe because there was singing?). Even then, however, I had that innate instinct present within all sentient lifeforms that Spike speaking was a TERRIBLE idea.

Oh, this thread brings back some memories. I recently just saw it with my sister again maybe 2 months ago. Though I wasn't born when it came out. Though not a fan of all the movies that followed the first.
