Lady Rarity Pony 4,892 February 20, 2013 Share February 20, 2013 Okay. Simply this. Season 4, Episode 1: Pinkie amputates Twilight's wings. Problem solved! Okay, maybe that should be a last resort. <_< For those of you who want Twilight to revert back to a normal unicorn, what do you propose or speculate will happen to achieve this? Season 3 really makes it look like a permanent change. Is there any way out of this without simply shredding up S3 E13? 6 LRP's opinions are subject to change without notice. Leafeon 2,702 February 20, 2013 Share February 20, 2013 Genius. I think one way could be Twilight using a spell on herself that removes her wings. She may not like living so much longer then her friends. Betez 1,734 February 20, 2013 Share February 20, 2013 Well, I DON'T want Twi to be turned back into a Unicorn. Anyway, I really don't see what the big idea is. Just give it a chance goddamn it. 6 My OC Stay pony my friends"And ALWAYS remember...to never forget." - Someone who I'm sure has said this before I did
duidamasterXD 9,627 February 20, 2013 Share February 20, 2013 (edited) Option One: Her Alicornhood is dramatically taken from her by some kind of villain, or she sacrifices it in order to defeat one. Option Two: They deconstruct it by revealing the consequences of becoming an Alicorn and Twilight decides that the change was not for the better, and finds a way to reverse it. Emerald Flame 381 February 20, 2013 Share February 20, 2013 Here are a few options, ordered by how realistic I think they are. 1. Upon realizing how drastically it will change her life, she asks Celestia to change her back. 2. A villain either forcibly changes her, or she needs to sacrifice her status to save Equestria. 3. She messes up a spell, and never figures out/tries to reverse it. 4. She is involved in a horrible accident, and her wings are amputated. 5. Melvin is transported to Equestria, and she falls for his request for a hug. He then cuts her wings off with a chainsaw, but fails to kill her. Everything is going to be fine.
PonyEcho 1,610 February 20, 2013 Share February 20, 2013 (edited) option 1- it was all actually an illusion and Twilight is rely imprisoned in her own mind by a new villain who is draining her power and the power of her element option 2- Twilight grows mad with power and try to overthrow Celestia getting banished to a different solar system option 3- i don't know something about muffins Edited February 20, 2013 by PonyEcho my DA http://heavyecho.deviantart.com/ check my stuff out the Anime Club http://mlpforums.com/topic/48196-the-anime-club/ plz join us

Well, this does seem a bit extreme. But if they don't change her back, I'll take it into consideration. For the sake of no more Twiliecorn nonsense going on. :L
Shaky Novel 72 February 20, 2013 Share February 20, 2013 Hahah, a genius idea, I must say. Well, I could see Twilight giving up her wings to save the empire or something. But honestly though, I'd rather see them in Pinke's cupcakes, hah.

Circadian 1,273 February 21, 2013 Share February 21, 2013 (edited) Twilight doesn't need "fixed". Go rewatch seasons 1-2 if you want old Twilight. I don't get why people hate the whole alicorn thing. By turning into one, a whole new level of magic has opened for her. Plus, now that Twilight is a princess, we'll get to learn more about what it actually means to be a princess in Equestria. (i.e. we get to learn more about Celestia and Luna by proxy). I know I want to see a flashback episode of Celestia and Luna's rise to power. hawkflame 3,310 February 21, 2013 Share February 21, 2013 My solutions? 1) make the entire Mane Six into alicorns. 2) Have her sacrifice her Alicorn destiny for the sake of her friends, or Equestria. 3) Pinkie, get the chainsaw. Veylon 255 February 21, 2013 Share February 21, 2013 The most obvious "fix" is to have her sacrifice her alicorn status for the greater good. The second most obvious is having a villain demote her. The problem with these is that neither precludes her getting them back. Although you could take that and run with it as a story arc. Of course, the real problem is that 3x13 was the series finale and now the writers have to figure out how to continue the show past the point where it logically concluded. Friendship is Magic was about Twilight going to this town, meeting friends, and learning about the magic of friendship. That is now over. Now what do you do? Now you show how twilight uses that magic to help others, and continues to learn more about the power of friendship. There is always more to learn. Consider what happened before a prologue to showing friendship TRUELY IS a new kind of magic, and now they can show what they can do with it. Also, I don't think this should be "fixed" at all. It would only ever end up coming off as retconning, or "pandering to the fans" I think what's happened is perfectly fine, even if I'm not sure I entirely agree with it. I just think of it as a moment where I now have to re-think my belifs on what's unsaid in the series (my fanon, if you will.) MiStErUnMeRry 328 February 21, 2013 Share February 21, 2013 (edited) Twilight sparkle did not fix her own destiny, the spell was actually a fluke sent to test her understanding of friendship by giving her everything she ever desired. Celestia approval and constant attention, high status and the absolute top of the pony hierarchy, being associated and out doing Star Swirl the bearded, somepony she respects deeply. The spell is merely there to simulate a perfect life for twilight while leaving her friends behind to drag in the dust despite all offering more or equal things to things to the world as she has. She either choose to stay with her friends rather than become a princess or an alicorn, thus shirking her life eating royal duties and the change in social status equilibrium along with her power and immortality ectr or she accepts it and fails her test. Maybe the spell is there to test her friendship due to a new villain arriving or perhaps Celestia just in a trolling mood today. Also. People who ask to give alicorn twilight a chance. No, That was her episode job. To convince us to give her a chance. It failed. Edited February 21, 2013 by MiStErUnMeRry 1 A Head Butt is just a more confrontational meeting of the minds. Goose 181 February 21, 2013 Share February 21, 2013 Twilicorn isn't going to be "fixed". We just had a musical leading up to her transformation. Not gonna be fixed. However, I suppose Discord could pull a SWAG.MOV on her...
Veylon 255 February 22, 2013 Share February 22, 2013 Also, I don't think this should be "fixed" at all. It would only ever end up coming off as retconning, or "pandering to the fans" I'm just thinking from the perspective that IF you were going to fix it, etc. etc. My own view is that, while it may not have been a terribly great idea, they should roll with it now that they've got it. The best stories are the ones that are tough to write. Maybe it's a good thing that the status quo is currently in a very awkward position. I'm tempted to say the "Friendship is Magic" subtitle should be swapped out for something else, since the main arc of the show has effectively been completed. Magica 8 February 22, 2013 Share February 22, 2013 Option One: Her Alicornhood is dramatically taken from her by some kind of villain, or she sacrifices it in order to defeat one. Option Two: They deconstruct it by revealing the consequences of becoming an Alicorn and Twilight decides that the change was not for the better, and finds a way to reverse it. Option Two sounds like Madoka Magica, I like it. Come to think of it, Twilight's transformation with the purple light coming out of her reminds me of the soul gems in Madoka. The only thing is that if this were Madoka Twilight would probably end up dying or suffering horribly in some way or another.
crazitaco 596 February 25, 2013 Share February 25, 2013 (edited) twilicorn sacrifices her princesshood and wings to save her friends. or rejects it for her own personal reasons. and if you really watch the finale, she didn't seem too excited about being a princess at first. maybe at some point she decides she's not cut out for royalty, and decides to become a unicorn again. that's the only way i could see her going back to normal and still working with the story :/ either that or she wakes up from her dream 8D Edited February 25, 2013 by crazitaco *Click the picture to join the Nega-Bronies!* "Every cloud has a silver lining" *except for the mushroom-shaped ones which have a lining of Caesium-127, Strontium-90 and other radioactive isotopes.
