So I thought I should do a little drawing of Rarity haha. I've been wanting to get around to this for quite a while but was busy so I thought I'd spend a little time and attempt it. sorry about the hair, I may have slightly messed that up.

thank you =^.^= Yeah the waves on her hair are bunched up and a bit uneven but it's close to her hopefully when I do this nightmare moon in a few minutes i redeem Rarity.

I really like the pose you used for her, however be careful with curves that you use to draw the hooves, the look very pointy and square-ish.

But it is indeed a great drawing, it's very cute

a little bit of practice and time every day for a while drawing nothing but straight lines will turn an amateur into the world's best artist =^.^= You'll get better

Well color me pink and call me piglet! That's a great drawing. The only thing i would point out is the nose seems a little pointy. But maybe that's the look you were going for. Over all a great pic.

The mane isn't perfect (looks kind of flat- a little shading on the underside of mane and tail would have helped), but I'd imagine that it's the hardest part, since hers is the most detailed and perfectly coiffed of the mane six. Overall nice job.

I like her very much-especially the eyes. I think you really captured her elegance. :3 Her right front hoof is a tad bit too thin, but other than that, she is perfect! :3

woah waht holey crepolas this is good. It actually reminds me a bit of when I started out.

 

How long have you been drawing? Did you use a reference?

 

A few things I'd point out for your improvement:

 

-The snout is very low, or angular. 

-Her legs and snout could poke someone's eye out.

-Horn needs better perspective. It looks a little off center from, you know, where a unicorn's horn would be,

-Long tail is long, but it's also sexy and finely drawn.

-Cutie Mark may need to be a little further back, but I'm not quite sure about that.

-Ear needs to be a bit less attached from her head. This is a common mistake with lots of newer artists. Checkit:

----Compare this:  to this: 

-Stroke in a constant direction with the coloured pencil, and put a little more pressure in the strokes. Her hair seems way too light here. Here's a little visual explanation of what I mean by constant direction: 

 

-Her right front leg is very wobbly, and needs to be wider at the hoof's end than the leg's base. Lookit: 

 

-And finally, the HANDWRITING IS NOT IN CURSIVE HOW DARE YOUAKSJDFLKSADMGFÑDSAJMOIGTR6345Y

haha thanks I take all critique and tops into consideration with all of my drawings =^.^= I've been drawing off and on like this for a year haha. I'll definitely think about your tips when I make my next one you're reeeeeeally good haha. And yeah my signature is quite different from normal ;D tehe

Just because he drew the same picture does not mean that he traced it. He could have simply taken reference. It's a good way to learn. However, I do fear that it may be traced. Those wobbly lines could either be an insecure artist's nervous attempt at legs, or they could be tracing lines.

 

Tracing is not a very good way to learn. It feels dirty.

That's good! You'll get better, just keep practicing at a constant rate.

 

I was just informed that you actually use crayons, not coloured pencils. Get yourself some coloured pencils. Even cheap ones will do. I used to use them all the time before I got a tablet. They're much easier to work with then crayons and much more easily erasable.
