Well, let me explain: Derpy has always been like a mascot, that people has cheered at because she is crosseyed. When they started screaming Derpy at the Equestria Girl version, I just started asking myself... If I were in high school, and were handicapped... Would I want people to scream my name after I walk by in the hallways? I think my answer would be something in the line of "running away crying". And if someone named their dog after me, because it reminded them of me, I would probably also "run away crying". But this is my opinion. Never been much of a fan of Derpy
