Violent video games

I play any grand theft auto (four seems to be my fave). Do I actually PLAY the game? Pshhh fook no. I like to get the cheats (weapons, cars, health, you name it) and then go on a muderous rampage until the cops kill me, I blow my self up, or I forget to do my heath cheat in time. I'm not a murderous bastard or some sociopath. I just like to be an asshole in the digital world, where it doesn't count. It fun, awesome, and when you work at Subway, allows you to set of some steam, esspecially when you work for a cheap dickwad that overcharges his customers, and changes the dates on the food so he doesn't have to make more. Lets just say I am pinkie pie in the drigital world, but she has acces to a bunch of millitarized weapons.

Being an RPG fan, the most violent thing I play is the Fallout franchise. I haven't fallen under the CoD spell like most kids my age. I still play kid friendly stuff like Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, that sort of stuff. Being a brony really hasn't made me play different games or anything.

Objection! Hold it! Take that! Gotcha! Eureka!

I like video games and anime.

I'm pretty new to being a Brony (also new to the forums so forgive me if I'm not doing this right), but aren't we supposed to all be super nice and fluffy or something? I know there are plenty of gamer Bronies, but I was just wondering if any of you are into more "child unfriendly" type games like I am. For example, one of my favorites is the Gears of War series. It's full of gore and profanity. I love it.

(Don't misunderstand me. I know that MLP isn't like some kind of a religion where I have to stop liking other stuff to be a fan. That would be bananas. But it's a show designed for little girls. I didn't know just how many people could be interested in it and still like more violent things too.)

Being a brony doesn't meen that you only enjoy feminin and lovey-dovey material from everyplace else. Quite the contrary infact. For most bronies, MLP is a form of release from their violent, bloody gaming lives ;) many of them bring profanity into the fanbase in a quite humorous way. For an example, go to youtube and look up "Friendship is magic bitch". That shit is gold.

Being a brony, you should respect and tolerate those around you, and strive to be friendly and caring.

That being said, dem games are just pixels. Go shoot them all you like.

Like many others have said, how we act in games means nothing in relation to our real world lives. I playTF2, L4D1+2, Metroid Prime 1-3, Alan Wake, Dead Rising, Gmod TTT, Assasin's Creed, Skyrim, HL2, Dead Space 1+2, Mass Effect, Killing Floor, Mafia II, Shank, The Ship, Batman Arkham City, Fallout 3+NV, Borderlands, and Zombie Panic source just to name a few of the more violent ones. I also enjoy strategy games in which the entire point is to conquer the world and subject it to your iron rule through total war and subjugation such as the Total War series and Europa Universalis III. Asides from these I also enjoy many non-violence heavy games such as Spore, The Sims, Mario Party 2, Tropico, Endless Ocean, Stuntman Ignition, Harry Potter Quidditch Cup (games bucking addictive), Terraria, Minecraft, and Final Fantasy Tactics.

The fact that I am now a Brony has not altered my gaming other than that I now spend less time gaming and more time chatting and posting on the forums. For me gaming is just a fun way to spend my time and occasionally let off some steam (a heavy-medic tag team, ubercharging, ending in a point claim can do wonders for your mood :P ).

Also, I feel that by watching super kindess in MLP and then enjoying violence in games we Bronies are sort of like balanced Zen masters. We are able to balance the Yin and the Yang to bring true harmony into our lives. :D

have you not seen or read the fanfic cupcakes? alot of bronies love blood and gore.

personaly i like violence in a game but not really in ponies. maybe a small fight but nothing like a gun with a chainsaw on it.

Inspired by myself.

i generally like violent games, but i wish Australia would hurry up and get an 18+ rating on games, the censor ship of left for dead 2 in aus was what ruined it for me, but anyways i decided to make a list.

fallout 1, fallout tactics, fallout 3, fallout newvegas, all of the doom series, gears of war series, dark sector (managed to get an 18+ copy), postal 2, the elder scrolls 3 - 5 and some other i cant think of right now.

I like violent video games to a certain extend.

I enjoy FPS and action games like GTA but I don't need games ultra-gory. If it fit's the setting and the game Iam okay with it (f.e. Fallout,L4D) but I don't need to see heads exploding when shooting people on CoD.

I also don't like to do things that doesn't fit the character Iam playing. If Iam Nico Bellic I commit crimes and do my missions but Iam not running amok and drive over every pedestrian I see(it kills the immersion for a RolePlay fan like me and even in games Iam more of a Good Guy Greg). ;)

When it comes to ponies it's similar. I don't like pony gore(even much less than human gore) and ponies being tortured but I can enjoy a good action story or a crossover(Fallout:Equestia, Metal Gear Pony), :)

I like a number of violent video games, all of witch have already been listed... More than once! I'm more of an RPG man my self though, violent or not. Can't say why ponies seem to mix with that so well. Strange world we live in isn't it?
