Looking for a Bit of Spiritual Guidance

So, lately I've been thinking about the fandom. We have some wonderful people here, talented musicians, drawers etc. but there is the dark side which I shan't go in to. As of late, I joined an iOS clash of clans group called "the bronyhood''. They accepted me at first until I had an opinion I spoke about. Now, they call me a sorry excuse of a brony (see file) and won't even let me explain.

I'm quite emotionally hurt, that a fandom I have been in for 2 years now would cast me out for having an (outspoken and a little debated) opinion.

Also, I argue for bronies on amplicate (LukeJn) (/hate/bronies) they point out more flaws than I can imagine. I get along well with haters (in my opinion), heck! Even one of my best friends is a hater, but he puts it aside for me, after all, we've been friends since childhood.

The question is, should I stay in the fandom?

Personally, I haven't a clue.

This may just be a case of me being too emotional, or it might make a little bit of a difference for me in life. Either way, I've found myself way out of my league this time and need some help.

I would be very appreciative of any and all comments left here, who knows? It might just be a turning point for me.

Oh yeah, if you're wondering about all those requests, that is the only way I can speak to them. I asked if I could merely explain my case, see how that turned out.

First of all no fandom is ever truely united. We all have our different opinions on things but ultimately we get over it eventually. Perhaps the best example of this being the Princess Twilight debate. Some felt very strongly about it others could care less. There were people who thought that was going to divide the fandom perhaps forever. This dosent compare to what the star trek fandom is going through. I dont think you should leave because other bronies dont like whatever your opinion is. If everyone did that there would be no fandom. Dont hide the way you feel about something just because someone else doesnt like it. At the end of the day we all gotta tolerate (not so much love) each other.

Another thing id like to point out that not all gaming clans and groups are run properly. They will always kick you out if you are a better player than the admins or if you dont share their opinions. Thats not even just mlp groups thats everywhere. Just gotta ignore people like that. They have never had power or control over anything in their life so they love to kick people.

first of all, welcome to this site... hope you´re gonna enjoy it here, nobody I know here will ever look down on you for having your own opinion about certain things. There are many different directions of this fandom, and all can be (contrarly) discussed, but being respectful and friendly at least is not just an option, some bronys seem to forget that...

What exactly was that opinion you had, the reason why you got kicked, if I ask?

I always pictured you as a cross between Demoman and Pinkie Pie for some reason.

First off I would like to say that it sucks that they don't respect your opinions. In the end everyone has the write to there own opinions, and it's horrible that people don't respect that.

In the end a group is always its own worst enemy and there are many different group that like different things (such as fav character or weather  mysterious mare do well was a good episode or not).

In the end a small part of the fandom does not represent the whole fandom so i would say don't leave just because of a few people. Maybe don't talk to those guys or just ignore them.

I know it sucks that you got kicked out but in the end, if they treated you like that they where probably not worth your time :P .

They're entitled to their opinion, and if they don't want you, don't take it personally. I'm sure some would call me a sorry excuse for a brony as well, but don't sweat the small stuff. Find a new clan, and just go have fun.

I think that the group of people who keep rejecting you shouldn't factor into you leaving the fandom, I mean theres  many more great people here that are much nicer overall.

Sure no fandom is perfect and ours is no exception but I'd think this is one of the better ones by far. Best one i've been in.

The fact you can get along with others or even have friends who don't like the show, but are willing to tolerate it for you is great. I think personally this fandom is to great to leave for the reasons you gave, but its all up to you.

I personally don't plan to leave anytime soon for any reason of my own really.

In every fandom you are going to run into a few jackasses it is a sad but unavoidable fact but you shouldn't let it discourage you too much. The MLP fandom is really one of the better ones when it comes to this, this forum is probably the most civil I have ever been on. Sure there is the occasional thread that gets out of hand but I haven't seen that happen nearly as often as other forums I have been on.

In full (oh boy, this is gonna be long)

1. I joined a 'carefree clan with a lot of elders, who love and tolerate and bronies were most welcome, according to this very site.

2. I asked to be elder, since of course, this wasn't competitive, it was bronies having a good laugh

3. The leaders said (even though I had proven I was a full brony) they didn't trust me.

4. I said 'so, you don't trust a fellow brony?'

5. They said I was a renegade and kicked me.

6. I tried to rejoin, asking to explain why I thought it

7. See the comment the leader sent

I guess you're right, they're insignificant to others. I shouldn't go out of a community due to some jackasses. Thanks for all your comments :) they've been very useful. Come to think of it, that's the reason I've been in the fandom so long. Support. Again, thank you all

But if you want to hear the full side of it, I won't stop you, aft all, I've got nothing to hide. The clais called 'the bronyhood' and 'the bronyhood 2 Ask them about a guy named trollogic. I hope I left my name fresh in their heads anyway. I'm willing to answer any questions against me, If you side with them, I'm only one person. I'll accept I'm wrong. But please take both stories into account.

Wait, how did THIS get me to being a muffin? Is that like a rank up or something? (Sorry, I'm very nooby). Sorry about this addition, I've got to make it over 100 characters

This thread appears to be related to the My Little Pony franchise and/or the Bronydom in general. Thus, it has been sentenced to Sugarcube Corner.

This is an automatically generated message, by the way.

they are butt heads, I have met a lot of them in the last couple years, you should not them ruin the show or the fandom for you, just flip them the bird and move on.

Well, I've made peace with them now. Some of them were a bit less... Acknowledgeable but nevertheless. I did flip them the bird though. After everything, I didn't want to stay. They couldn't respect my opinions. Still OK people though. I remember being called a 'social reject' but that's in the past, forgive and forget, right?

Well I'm glad you where able to settle things and move on.

It sometimes nags me that there are people in the fandom that tell you there are ways you have to act or think.

Fortunatly from my experiences I haven't seen as many and most of the times the people I discuss things with are reasonable.

As many people that there are that are going to try to make you feel down there is always someone who will try to help you.

I hope you have a better experience if you ever join another group or meet another fellow member of our community.
