Do you think Luke Skywalker was stunned when Darth Vader said he was his father?  That’s nothing compared to what I have in store for you right now.  If you clicked on this topic, it’s probably because you’re familiar with DashForever and/or Stellafera.  I’m sad to say that these two people don’t actually exist.  That’s because I am DashForever and Stellafera!  You may think I’m yanking your chain, but it’s the truth.  I just pulled off the most infamous case of multiple username use in forum history and nobody had a clue.  Now some of you may be like, "Wait a second, what about those pictures of waterfowl you took at an Arizona wildlife sanctuary?"  Waterfowl?  In the middle of the desert?  I took those photos in New Jersey!  Oh, and all that talk from DashForever about being a good tennis player?  A total fabrication.  I never picked up a tennis racket in my life. 

 

Rainbow Dash was my favorite when I signed up as DashForever.  But by the time I created Wingnut, Fluttershy had overtaken her as my preferred pony.  My fondness for AJ had grown as well, so I created Stellafera primarily to have her as a favorite. Why choose one #1 when I can have three! In all posts and PMVs from all usernames, my three favorite ponies are held in very high regard even if the given "official" favorites list didn't always reflect that. I would also use the appropriate "person" to defend any best pony if they came under unjust criticism.

 

Surprised? You shouldn’t be.  It all adds up when you think about it.  While I made some changes to give each username a distinct personality, my basic demeanor and approach remained the same with all three:

-A fine appreciation for character and plot analysis. 

-An enjoyment of writing long, detailed posts and blog entries. 

-A tendency to follow and brohoof the same content...with all three of my accounts if I really liked something.

-If others weren’t giving me enough brohoofs, I could always brohoof myself! 

-While I would speak my mind, my general desire is to keep things clean and not cause trouble.

-I love Hurricane Fluttershy so much, I couldn’t resist having TWO of my "people" list that as their favorite episode!

 

Do you know what I had the most fun doing?  Talking to myself, of course!  I know exactly what Ashleigh Ball and Andrea Libman must feel like, only better.  I really enjoyed making a comment as one person, logging in as another, and posting right behind them.  Especially in the forum games.  I was so sorely tempted to do it more often.  And the most challenging part was maintaining distinctive writing styles amongst my three personae.  I’ve had to go back and edit several posts to eliminate speech inflections which could have given myself away.  I had to take some care not to blow my cover but at the same time it was hilarious playing you all for chumps.  Or so I thought. I now regret it.

 

Why did I do this?  When I joined last September as DashForever, I thought I would fit in better by pretending to be a high school student. And when I launched Wingnut and Stella at the same time, Stella seemed to catch on first.  I was a bit dismayed by that.  But since my Wingnut identity has finally gained acceptance with the members, I will be using only this one from now on.  It was fun, but I no longer have the time to devote to maintaining three separate online identities. That’s the real reason why all three of my usernames were less active than usual during the last few weeks. Also, I now have only one working computer so I can no longer sign in as two people simultaneously.  That was crucial in being able to pull off this little charade.  Manaphy, I hope you’ll forgive me.  We’ve worked so hard and so long on our fanfic project I’d hate for you to pull the plug on it now.  I also know I’ll be stripped of my mod duties as DF.  I accept that.  But beyond that, I am begging for clemency from the staff. April 1 has been declared International Amnesty Day by the United Nations. I will now answer any reasonable questions you may have regarding this matter.

It's true . To confuse you even more, I made one account in favor of Alicorn Twilight, one against, and one sort of in the middle. It worked flawlessly.

 

Upon further reflection, I've decided to only sign in as DashForever from now on, because something about using that account inspires me to say more ingenious and amazing things . I will use my super duper mod powers to delete my alternate usernames now .

Upon further reflection, I've decided to only sign in as DashForever from now on, because something about using that account inspires me to say more ingenious and amazing things . I will use my super duper mod powers to delete my alternate usernames now

 

Now that I think about it, DashForever aka FireflyForever is a much cooler name than Wingnut.  I’ll probably keep DF/FF as my primary account instead.
