Two days after the eclipse and there are either people still talking about the eclipse or the post-eclipse delay (editing time) has resulted in a new influx of eclipse videos.

Exhibit A: ISS and the moon in front of the sun. (Really, this is nuts.) https://youtu.be/lepQoU4oek4?t=3m3s

And how is the thread on fire? I don't see a fire.

That was a weird thing, it was so fast.

If a thread is on fire, is it a fuse?

Dunno, does it melt down when you pass a current topic though it? :)

Not a lot of things can end up in front of the sun; how much more to two of them being in front of the sun at the same time?

I don't think a thread would be a reliable fuse. I mean, they aren't even conductive.

and yet I seem to recall carbonized thread was used in early light bulbs as the filament?

Is it wrong for me to keep thinking about my city builder prototype when I don't know enough on how to implement it into code?

I'll get back to you on that; I got an appointment, and that should be how that one light bulb was kept alight for 100+ years.

I don't think so, but they can be labeled as "Hot".

I dunno, but I've seen a lot of things like that, but that was pretty cool.

Not really what I meant.

I thought it was tungsten?

Nah, regardless of if it's a possible task or not, it could be a fun thing to think about.

Yup. I assume you meant fuze, but that may be spelt differently in America :)

No, both Edison and Swan's first evacuated lamps had carbon filaments and both used carbonized (charred) thread as that could be easily put into place before charring (fairly fragile afterwards, as you would imagine)

It's spelled fuse here, yeah. But apparently fuze is correct, which I had no idea.

Apparently so, but at least I'm not totally wrong: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incandescent_light_bulb#Revolution_of_the_tungsten_filament.2C_inert_gas.2C_and_the_coiled_coil

It's an evolution anyhow - from the early arc lights though to the most modern PLED systems of today :)

Ironically OLEDs are most of the new systems in deployment - so we are back to carbon again :)

I'm currently in the process of writing a new Fallout Equestria fan fiction titled "Fallout Equestria: Conquest". Here's the premise of the story: It's basically based off of Fallout 4 and its associated campaign DLC, ie Automatron, Far Harbor and Nuka World, and I need some opinions on what certain major plot points should result in. Here's a link to the poll if you want to see for yourself:

I haven't even finished all the DLC for Fallout 4 yet.

I'll work on it and maybe I can help you out.

Oh its been awhile

hi

Probably a little too long...

So long, I began to conceputalise my own city-building game. Maybe a little too early to conceptualise because I no nothing about C++ for game development or OpenGL or Unity.
