Three words: Network Addon Mod.

 

It's the single-most important mod for all of Simcity 4. Simply put, it does two things: Fix all of the traffic-related bugs that the original game developers left behind, and adds lots (and I mean lots) of new transit tools and options.

Worth pointing every NAM feature (Correct me if I forgot something):

 

- Viaduct RD, OWR, AVE, Rail (eventually to become draggable, renamed to ERD-2, EOWR-2, EAVE-4, EDTR)

- ATL and RTL (Those turn-lanes that pop up when you drag AVE and RD crossings)

- Street, Road, OWR, and AVE roundabouts (possible renaming to each size)

- Diag Streets (too necessary...)

- Pedmalls

- GLR

- Dual-Networking Pieces (GLR-AVE, GLR-RD, GLR-Street, ELR-over-RD, Rail/DTR-under-RD)

- High ELR and Monorail (May become draggable)

- CanAM

- Rail Addon Mod (Mostly DTR pieces)

- FA pieces and Curves (all networks)

- Special Interchanges (two for AVE, one for Rail, and a bunch for MHW, no more will likely be added)

- Special GLR (Adds two more GLR networks that act like the SAM)

- TuLEPs (and eventually Advanced TuLEPs and its Roundabout counterpart)

- FLUPs (Forgot this one; They're essentially underground versions of several of the default networks; Intended for underpasses but can work somewhat like tunnels.)

 

Most of the things above have been a part of the main NAM for so long that anyone who has ever had a problem with these things has reported it to the NAM Support thread; Most of these don't have dedicated support threads. Everything else that has ever been a separate NAM plugin, think of them as one of these things on the list above (Except DBE, that one's too complex):

 

- NWM (and eventually ENWM)

- RHW and all of its subsets (Modular Interchange System, Multi-Height System, FlexRamp System)

- RAM (Includes STR and eventually wider variations)

- SAM

- HSRP

- RuRP (In case you're wondering, these are like the RHW's cosmetic pieces, but for the RD-2 network. The odd part is that it has SAM curves and diag Street fillers.)

 

You won't even need to hunt these down, anymore.

 

EDIT: A little outside the standard RUL-work, but fall under the category of NAM nonetheless:

 

- NAM Retexture Cosmetic Mod

- DBE (Not recommended for beginners)

- RHW Regional Transport Map

- The traffic simulators and automata mods that come with the NAM itself

I just spent two hours writing one small paragraph for a paper I'm doing.

 

I'm gonna take a break because my head hurts from all the speculation I've been doing but holy crap I should have gotten started on this earlier

Well, various actually. Here's what I realized before.

@, the reason I'm mentioning you, is because you might be interested, and you somewhat helped create this with your TrixLuna thoughts.

 

If Luna wanted a student, taking out the personality of Trixie, she's the best suited. She has stars in her cutie mark, her full name is Trixie Lulamoon, and her shows of fireworks and stuff is best seen at night. Not to mention, after Twilight's little show, she'd become jealous of Twilight, who's a student of Celestia, just as Luna was jealous of her sister...and ironically....at first, Luna had the appreance of the "all high and mighty"...

Which while probably incorrect still gave me an idea. More or less, one of the ponies Trixie could relate to, is Luna. So I was thinking either:

 

1. Make a fic where Luna was still slightly resentful of Celestia and was planning to defeat her and seeing what Trixie went through helps her study more magic to become better than Twilight, which would then end in a battle of Trixie with Luna vs Celestia and Twilight, which could have three different finale's

 

2. Make a shorter fic where Luna helps Trixie realize that vengeance will lead her nowhere and help her reinstall in Ponyville OR get her something good in a different city.

 

3. Do something similar as 2, only Twilight also helps with trying to help Trixie out of her probable jealous, slightly vengeful state.

 

4. Luna desperately wants to help Trixie and help her out, only Trixie has escaped and has to look out for her.

 

And for some reason it made me think of:

 

5. A tag team battle tournament of Equestria

 

I think this is one of those moments where I think I might have a slight mind of an writer,,,
