I dunno. 'Cause I'm constantly talking with shippers--all the other mods of TMP are big time shippers--and so the name combination is like a ship name. (Like Flutterdash, for example.)

As an interesting aside--and I forget if I already said it in here or not--Season three begins exactly one year after I became a pony fan. I became a pony fan on November 10th, 2011, and Season three starts on November 10th, 2012.

As for WoW, I think it's just because it was an established universe that a lot of people cared about for years before it became World of Warcraft. The Warcraft Universe has existed since around ~1993, I think, was when the first Warcraft came out.

I think you're limiting and underestimating what can be done with an MMO.

 

For example, World of Tanks is an MMO, and I'd call it incredibly fun and fairly deep as well--deeper than it might appear at first glance. Playing that game is not easy. You have to be strategic, tactical...you have to think, use teamwork appropriately, and so on. There's a lot more to the MMO concept than just the ground that was originally paved with Ultima Online and EverQuest. It's not just about the Western RPG.

Gaming is a Corporate fuckfest on the consumers behalf these days.

Nothing new has come out in years.

It's just sequels and so on.

Corporations will not even try to innovate, current IP's sell. It's more like consumers fault anyway.

 

Indies will make some headway for a few years, then the indies will be the corporations and on and on.

Not shooting it until it's done but "past behavior" and things.

 

And WoT is very simple game at it's core, it's just shitloads of grind.

Without the MMO component it would be a very boring gaming experience. Fun, but very basic.
