I'd get a backpack, a towel (see The Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy) my stash full of sweets, my stationary, my iPod and DS, iPod dock, DS charger, headphones, crash helmet, any other things I would need, and I would fake a suicide note to clear any questions. Also, it would be a confession about my Bronydom. I would also take a blanket and phone.

just tossing this out there. I dont think bringing things that would need charging would be a good idea. there is a major lack of anything resembling a plug, and while power is used it seems to be rare.

I'd take my sports bag two bottles of water and a flask. I'd bring a blanket and small camping pillow and a change of clothes. I'd also bring the machete (Though it is pretty blunt, I could sharpen it when I arrive with whatever I can find) and dump whatever food from the cupboards as I can into the bag.

 

Reason for all this? You have no freaking idea where you are going to end up, you may end up in the everfree, the badlands or somewhere else for that matter and you may need to sleep outdoors with no equipment. But if you bring that stuff you'd be fine for a while as long as you know how to rough it in the wild for a while.

I've got an 'emergency interdimensional transport' bag packed and ready to go.

 

What? I've been answering this kind of question on a variety of forums for a long time now. After awhile you start getting paranoid.

 

Mind you, it's also my 'emergency zombie apocalypse' bag, my 'emergency evacuation' bag, my 'emergency world tour bag', my 'emergency camping trip' bag, and my 'emergency wife's kicked me out the house' bag

 

In the bag is a variety of freeze-dried foods, bottled water, fire starting supplies, full enclosure sleeping bag, hatchet, cooking gear, combat knife, cold weather clothes, and candles, plus a book on various chemical and mechanical devices, including blackpowder, biodiesel, basic stills and whatnot, specifically written for a survivalist.

 

My wife has an identical bags. And we have a third with a tent, stove, dog equipment, and other similar stuff for if we are both zipping along and can grab the dog on the way.

 

We'd probably also grab our oilskin trenchcoats & hats.

 

Now, this stuff was all predicated on no physical transformation. With being turned into ponies, we could probably dump most of the gear as pointless, but they may have some value as trade goods so we'll make that decision when we arrive.

Probably my dog, if that's allowed. If I had a choice I wouldn't like to leave this world, and if I had to I'd want to bring something from here that I actually care about. If pets aren't allowed, maybe some home videos with a VCR if I could dig one up.
Or my computer, which could be studied and possibly replicated in Equestria bringing some sort of age of technology or something cool. Possibly.

Since I will also be transformed to a pony of my choosing, I guess foods and shelter wouldn't be a problem. I'll take two bottles of hot sauce (I always have some of those next to my bed), my phone and its chargers, and some other tiny essentials in my handbag.

A bottle of Ibuprofen. I get headaches a lot, and it'd be nice to have something to help that, and to have a sample to get analyzed and produce more of. I imagine I'd get rich quick off of the painkiller market. 

 

Aside from that, I'd also take my kitten. He's lost without his daddy.

Well first off, I'd make sure I was a unicorn or alicorn because otherwise I wouldn't be able to use all kinds of electronic devices. I would also need some kind of solar receiver so that I can make my own electricity, I don't believe it is common enough in Equestria.

 

I might need several luggage bags, but at least I don't have to worry about any clothes. I need to make sure I've got plenty of backup incase one of my devices, for whatever reason, turns out to be absolutely useless. I need very good packaging material inside those bags as well, I have no idea which part of Equestria I will wake up in.

 

So, without further ado, here's my masterlist of generic items:

 

• My notebook computer, including USB drive, Firewire cable, felt case, external HDD, 3G Modem (who knows, maybe there is a way to get internet that way)...and that about it. I suspect I will take my 10 year old backup PC as well.
• My smartphone, including charger and MicroSD card.
• My camcorder, charger and all the MiniDV tapes I have left.
• My Cassette Walkman, including AA battery adapter and case
• A Dynamo Radio/Torch
• All my vinyl records, CDs and cassettes. I don't need a turntable because Equestria already has them.
• A few magazines and bookazines

I think, unless I was willing to start a new life, I'd probably leave it at that. Trouble is, in part I would actually want to start a new life, so the list above is in danger of being scrapped.

I do like how reading this post, the vast majority of everyone's list includes their electronics as their PRIMARY worry and concern while traveling to FSKIN EQUESTRIA!
