Home Alone 2, Tim Curry's performance as the Concierge of the Five Star Hotel was brilliant and funny at the same time.

A little spoiler, for individuals who have not seen this movie yet, you have the option to not continue reading. Kevin got the unfortunate experience of life as a homeless person briefly, but what saved him was his street wisdom, and setting up a trap to distract Harry and Marv long enough for authorities to arrive. There were some mistakes in that movie, of course, like Kevin being 10 years old when he should have been 9 years old, but the movie is still a beloved gem as far as Christmas movies go.

The Hand Of Night - (1966)

British 'B' movie – from the description: A tourist to Morocco "travelling through the desert comes at night upon a Moorish castle where he is entertained by a mysterious wealthy woman. He departs and returns in the morning to find the place has vanished." (No it hasn't, it's old ruins.) "His inquiries only bring fear and hostility from the locals. He gradually finds himself lured into a deadly and sinister supernatural mystery."

Apparently (according to one character in the movie) from an Islamic concept of light and dark = good vs evil, and originated in Persia, and is spookily similar to The Force in Star Wars ... who would have guessed ...
