This thread got revived.... again

I'll nominate "Hospice" by The Antlers, it's quite emotional, though one could argue about it being hipster garbage *shrugs*

I'll nominate my favorite funk album, Herbie Hancock's "Head Hunters." This album is a sinister and brooding piece of groove-heavy and badass music from one of the greatest pianists and keyboard players in jazz.

Oh right, I forgot about this thread :/

I'll nominate "The Richest Man in Babylon" by Thievery Corporation. A great mix of Downtempo, Ambient Dub, Dub and Lounge

'The Fragile' by Nine Inch Nails. I'm a sucker for double albums, and this contains some of Trent's best track imo (The Day The World Went Away, Somewhat Damaged, Into the Void).

I nominate "Skream!" By Skream

If that Hasn't been already,

I've already nominated it ;)

My nomination will be Author's self titled debut album. It's a reminder of how awesome 2011 was, unlike this year....

Are you kidding me? There's some awesome stuff in 2013

Definitely agreeing with you there, The Fragile is one of my favorite NIN albums right next to The Downward Spiral

Nominating Nowhere by Ride, it's a pretty good shoegaze album that I've recently listened to.

I forgot to mention that I meant Dubstep, not music in general. The album I nominated was a Dubstep album from 2011, so that was the point I was trying to get to: 2011 was a great year for Dubstep, 2013 is not

I'll nominate "Laughing Stock" by Talk Talk

It's been how long since I've posted here!?!?

Anyway, since Pantera's "Cowboys from Hell" has already been nominated, I'm gonna nominate their next album "Vulgar Display of Power"

I finally updated this list, and now going to add something myself. I'm going to nominate the post-hardcore classic "Songs About Fucking" by Big Black.

We don't have enough Hip Hop on that list, so I'll nominate Notorious B.I.G's classic "Ready to Die". I'll seriously never get tired of that album

I'll nominate Roland Kirk's opus, "The Inflated Tear." This album demonstrates the ability that Kirk had in a really fun and enjoyable way. He makes me want to learn how to circular breathe and play multiple saxophones at once.

Overgrown is already on the list, so lets add James Blake's self titled debut album. Why it took me so long to nominate it is beyond me

Crap, I just realized Bob Marley's compilation album "Legends" isn't on that list. It's personally the most nostalgic album I know of

Thread revival time, again. WOO! I'm going to nominate Pulver by Lifelover, it's an album that took me by surprise. I was not expecting it to be that good.

Alright, I have already nominated Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power so I will nominate their next album, Far Beyond Driven.

For Lack of a Better Name by Deadmau5. "Strobe" is a nigh perfect example of EDM, in my opinion.

...or is the Deadmau5 hate train still rolling?

RAM by Daft Punk

What is it about RAM that makes people go crazy over it? I listened to the whole thing and I thought it was decent but far from something godly.

I'm more of an IDM person, although I haven't listened to that much electronic music in general.

Wait, I haven't nominated "Glyphic" by Boxcutter yet? Strange, I had a feeling that I already did....

And by the way Dawn, you have listed Swans's "Soundtrack for the Blind" twice.

Honestly, the main reason I was going to nominate that was because I thought others would know it, unlike The Sound. I also really like some of the songs on the album, specifically this and this. However, I would still rather listen to Jeopardy than this album.
