Firebolt's smile quickly turned a bit more... perplexed. She wasn't quite sure how to respond to such a comment, though she believed it was a compliment, very well. True, other stallions had said similar things, but such always came off as an odd, generally misplaced sentence. And her response would most likely decide where the whole relationship afterwards would go... So, Firebolt said nothing for a while. Then she finally said "Thanks."

Yeah, she did, after a long, very awkward pause, and do you notice something else? She's stopped smiling! She doesn't want you to see her 'radiant' smile! She's hiding it from you! You should apologize now..."

 

Keeping his eyes downcast at the candle on the middle of the table instead of on Bolt, Windy said contritely, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that. It just slipped out, I don't know where it even came from. I mean, I'm sure you hear shallow compliments like that all the time from stallions, and are probably sick and tired of it by now..."

Dogboots got up from the table and began to follow Nightraxx to the Infirmary. The walk there was uneventful and almost like a maze. The hallways all looked the same and there was barely any indicators were they were going. After wandering around for a while the duo had finally reached the Infirmary. However, Sorrow wasn't even there. There was no sign of her.

Firebolt blinked. She was... confused. It did not make sense to apologize, right? "I will never understand that about some ponies..." She thought to herself. "Ah... It's fine." Firebolt said, smiling again, and blushing a bit. Which was a bit more noticeable on her coat, as it was a fairly light grey.

"Is she... blushing?!?! I don't believe it! And she's smiling again! Well, its been going well so far... Might as well try my luck again, nothing ventured, nothing earned..."

 

Windy stood up from the table and gestured to the now cleaned plates sitting in front of both ponies

 

"Bolt, since both of us are done eating, do you want to go back to your room so I can clean it up for you?"

When Nightraxx and Dogboots, who had joined him to check for Sorrow's Injury, reached their Destination, the Infirmary, Sorrow had been gone. The thing that Nightraxx feared to happen the most, seemed to really had become reality.

 

"Sorrow!" he called out for her. Thinking she may be hiding in the closet, he checked in there, but she wasn't there. The Infirmary lay utterly dormant, with the exception of the two stallions.

 

"Oh no!" he shouted worried. "I feared this may happen...." he glanced over to Dogboots, before exiting the Infirmary. "Sorrow!" he called out into the almost empty hallway..

We can rule out the Dining Hall cause from what I've gathered from you and Moonbeam, she seems to avoid crowded places. Now the only places that we can guess are either the deck or the basement. The deck probably doesn't have that many ponies there seeing as how most of them are in the Dining Hall and the same can be said with the basement. Let's check the deck first and then the basement." He said to Nightraxx after explaining his thoughts on the situation.

Nightraxx tried to calm down a little, but given how much this reminded him of what happened in the past, when his best friend had ran away too and it being the last time he had ever seen her...it was hard. He bit his lips and calmed down, he knew Dogboots was right, panicking wouldn't contribute anything to this situation.

 

Rational thinking was the right thing to go with for now.

 

"...Let's go then..." he said. "...to the deck."

 

((Going to bed, i'll be back tomorrow morning, feel free to drag him along to the deck ))

After Nightraxx had finally calmed down a bit the duo began making their way towards the deck. Dogboots could tell that Sorrow meant a great deal to him due to his reaction from earlier though he knew that it wasn't any of his business. After a few minutes had passed Nightraxx and Dogboots finally reached the deck. The sun was beginning to set and the stars were already beginning to appear. It was a great sight but he had to tend to Sorrow first before he could even stargaze. "Is that her over there?" He asked pointing his hoof at a mare lounging in a chair who bared a striking resemblance to Sorrow.

Firebolt thought for a second. "If he is asking me that, he clearly isn't worried about Scamps, no? Well, since that's what I was aiming for, I should say yes." Firebolt then got up from the table as well. "Sure." She said. "I'll pay on my way out." Firebolt pointed to a desk, with a cashier, and who was most likely the signoria here.

Sparkey ordered something and walked towards the nearest unaccommodated table and sat down. This was, quite honestly, boring. He needed to meet somepony. Unfortunately, he was not the best with introductions. Or anything of that sort. Still, there had to be somepony to interact with. Usually, at least, in novels, romance happened on cruises. He almost laughed at the thought that that would happen. A romance with him would probably be terrible, as he saw it.

Airy followed Windy Scamper to the buffet table, even though he wasn't sure if he'd actually get anything from there.

"My special talent? Well... I'm not sure about that." He thought of an answer to give that did not include his accident. "I haven't really found something yet. Maybe it's something with music or so, as I really like to play instruments and sing. I'm not sure though if that really is the talent I will have attached to my flank eventually."

He took a swift look at Windy Scamper's flank so she wouldn't notice it and think he just was staring at her plot or so. "May I ask the same about you?"

Looking over to where Bolt was pointing, Windy saw a chance to try and be a gentleman. "Well, Bolt, if you don't mind of course, I'd like to hoof the bill. My parents raised me to always treat a lady with respect, and to not make them pay their own way, its rude to do so. So unless you object and want to go Dutch, I've got it covered."

 

"Well, this will be a good test, to see if she's gonna insist on paying for her own food, which would certainly make dates with her easier, or if she's gonna be expecting me to pay for everything..."

"Oh... Well, if you want to, that would be very nice of you..." Firebolt said, smiling, nervously, a bit. She didn't want to seem greedy - she wasn't - but it was custom for the stallion to pay in a relationship... "Ah! Why don't we both pay half?" She asked, not sure if she wanted to be in a relationship in the first place.

((Quite alright with me, Frost has been 21 in most of the RPs he's been in anyway. XD))

 

Arctic Frost approached the bar, sitting at one of the stools and lowering his shades to the barpony and tossing some bits on the counter. "Gimme a shot of your best whiskey. Lady's with me, put her on my bill, if you would be so kind." He grinned at Moonstruck. "Pick what you like."

 

He gave the large room another once-over, taking in the atmosphere and decor of the dining area. It was rather nice, even if it wasn't exactly the kind of venue he frequented. Frost much prefered performing outside over performing indoors anyway. Still, he'd love to get a crack at that stage.

Moonstruck shrugged. "I'll just take a light cider, please." She smiled right back at the colt vaguely. Noticing that Frost was looking around the room, she mirrored his movements, and her eyes lingered on an orange mare who sat in a large group of ponies across the room. "Huh. It's not like Sunny to just hang with other ponies."

Fire decided on her order before placing her menu back on the table and stretching her forelegs and wings. "So why did you guys want to come on the trip ? Just for a vacation or...well I guess that's probably the number one reason." She chuckled and only just noticed that Sunburst was sitting next to her. Her heart skipped a beat and she smiled slightly.

((Sorry for the late response.)) 

 

Sunburst shrugged, and placed her order before responding to Fire's question. "Oh, Moonstruck just needed some fresh air," she said, "and I needed a break. Nothing special." She noticed that the sun was setting out the large window in the room.

 "Well, that was a mixed bag result... She wants to pay her own way, which is good for the wallet, but couples have the stallion pay, which could mean she doesn't want to be a couple... Or it could just mean she wants to be independent and pay her own way... Oh well, over thinking this could make my brain hurt too much, its not worth it to dwell on it. There'll be plenty of time to show her I'm a stallion she wants to have, for now, I'm just glad I'm only paying for half of the bill."

 

"Sure! That's fine by me!" Windy said cheerily, pulling out enough bits to cover his part of the bill and giving them to the cashier, before grabbing a mint from the counter. "It never hurts to have fresh breath... Never know when somepony will be close enough to smell it..." 

 

"So what's the plan Bolt? Do you want to go straight back to your room, or look around on the ship a bit and have some fun? There's so many options for great things to do! We could go swimming, or see a movie, or take a walk on the deck for a while... Your call!"

Nightraxx had followed Dogboots all the way to the Deck, the daytime was slowly coming to an end and the sky was tinted in a dark blue, with a hint of red on the horizon.

 

Sunken in thoughts about Sorrow, he heard Dogboots asking him something. He lifted his head to look over to where Doghoofs was pointing. "Sorrow...?" he said, looking in the direction of his hoof.

"Oh, funny, a few of my friends play instruments. I wish I could, but I'm not all that good with hoofy wark like that." Shhe replied. Then, he asked about her own.

 

Humilation in 3...2...wait a minute! If I get humilated, he'll leave! I can go find Windy, and we can hang out some more! So, yeah, I'll go ahead and tell my story! Might as well twust the truth, too.

 

"Well, my parents wanted me to be a flyer, and be on the Wonderbolts, or at least the weather team. However, I didn't like listening, to my parents, so I left Cloudsdale all together. So, if I wasn' t going to be apegasus, I figured, I might as well use magic! So, I learned sleight-of-hoof, a technqiue ancient earth ponie sused to convince alicorn overlords that the had magical powers. Now, entertainers, like me, use it." She explained.

 

Okay, I sound incredibly stupid and rebellious, there is no way he still wants to be friends with me.

I'd prefer to go to bed now... or soon anyway." She said. "But, we could always walk around a bit, if you want." Firebolt had only now begun to realize how passive she was being. She didn't like it, but it couldn't be helped. For today, anyway.

Laray stuch her head out of the door to her room. She checked for paparatzis, thankful that she could escape. None were found, so she snuck onto the main deck. It only had a few occupants, thank goodness. Laray adjusted her shades and hat, ready to go by her first name as her parents had. If she went by Genevieve, everypony would want an autograph. Her hair Color Coordinated to match her chades. Streaks of black blazed through her now blue hair. Laray took a deep breath and strolled onto the deck.

Hop looked around the bar. Feeling a bit hungry she decided now would be a good time to get somethig to eat, and the dinning hall wasn't too far away either. With in minutes Hop reached the dinning hall and took a seat. She quickly noticed a small group of ponies talking and gave thought to joining them.
