The Dark Lord 332 August 5, 2014 Share August 5, 2014 Judging is kind of a harsh way to put it, but yeah, i do, at least until i actually talk to that person. 1 My OCs - Dead Eye, White Shade, Last Shadow, Zen Credit for my Signature goes to DJ Aeron Q. SparklingSquirrels 21,341 August 5, 2014 Share August 5, 2014 No, I don't "judge" anyone by their avatar, but depending on what their avatar is, I can usually tell what they like. For example, a member who has an anime avatar probably likes anime. 1 ֍֎֍֎
boiteporte 591 August 5, 2014 Share August 5, 2014 Well, I might judge someone by their avatar. It depends, really. For example, if the avatar is a girl, I might talk to that user as if he/she was a girl. That is about as far as it goes. On the other hand, if the avatar is something highly inappropriate, I might (will, actually) get a negative first impression of that user. By inappropriate, I mean, something that would probably not be allowed on the forums.
PineappleKAKE 14 August 5, 2014 Share August 5, 2014 I do think people's choice of avatar reflects themselves quite neatly, most of the time. ...which makes wonder what everyone else thinks when they see mine. >.> Skype me: PineappleKAKE If I'm online, I'm up for a chat! ^^ I'm also much more active on skype than ANYWHERE else. Phoenix Flair 332 August 5, 2014 Share August 5, 2014 Yes. Well, not so much judge as the picture influences me when I read their posts. I just assume they're in the same mood as their picture all the time.

Mr. Forest 135 August 5, 2014 Share August 5, 2014 I don't judge people based on their avatar, but I will admit their avatar may give me a peek into their personality and interests.
Jeric 46,851 August 5, 2014 Share August 5, 2014 When I see a canon MLP avatar I assume they are a fan of that character, yes. If I see an avatar that doesn't connect to show, movie, game, person, etc .... then I get curious. No judgment in the negative sense.
Creamy Arty 6,252 August 6, 2014 Share August 6, 2014 I don't judge people by their avatars, but I can't help but envision them as their avatar. Like, if somebody keeps their avatar as Celestia or Luna long enough (*cough*SCS*cough*) I'll start to see them as that character. As for judging their character or anything, no. I wait until I actually know them. 2 Kyoshi made this ^^ Come join us on Equestria.tv on Fridays at 6 PM Eastern for our weekly movie nights! LightningMana 146 August 6, 2014 Share August 6, 2014 I think for me, the expression or "vibe" I get from a person's avatar along with what they say, gives me an impression of who is typing~ An expression of their mind~ 1 Avatar designed by my beloved VinylShadow~ ~~~COMMISSIONS OPEN~~~ http://mlpforums.com/topic/102640-lightning-mana-custom-pony-figure-commissions/
RunsWithSquirlz 274 August 6, 2014 Share August 6, 2014 Maybe a bit. I only really judge if its a girl with her boobs falling out or pushing her cleavage up to the camera. It's like *sigh* they exist here too. But other than that, I just like everybody avatar and I don't really care who's behind it. Lunar Song 8 August 6, 2014 Share August 6, 2014 I try not to, and instead 'judging' a person after I've gotten to know them, though we all slip up from time to time. Signature made by myself
Jackleberry 1,921 August 6, 2014 Share August 6, 2014 Not necessarily, or at least I try not to, although it depends on what the person's avatar actually is. ~ ♫ 3rd Eye | To suffer hate in search of love, or lose them both forever? 🎔 ~
Gone Airbourne 21,977 August 6, 2014 Share August 6, 2014 Usually all a persons avatar is just portraying what they like most times that is. It depends on what it is if I am going to judge anything Like hence if someone's avatar was "offensive"

NotoriousSMALL 1,984 August 6, 2014 Share August 6, 2014 Eh, sort of. Well, I guess not even sort of, like almost totally, but usually someone's avatar is accompanied with a post, so basically that whole first impression thing comes in.
'NamBrony 22 August 7, 2014 Share August 7, 2014 I do sometimes. When I see someone with a troll face as their avatar, I hate them. When someone has an incredibly dumb/silly avatar, it's very hard to do a serious RP with them.
neznamkaksa 79 August 7, 2014 Share August 7, 2014 The avatar says what do you do most, what you like etc.It describes you in some way.Though no,i dont judge by the avatar. Awesome signature made by Gone Airbourne
Invincible 2,091 August 7, 2014 Share August 7, 2014 A bit. It shows a glimpse of the personality behind the avatar, of course. But i don't usually hold it for or against them too much - avatar pictures can be changed with the simple click of a button. long gone 8,929 August 8, 2014 Share August 8, 2014 Yes, because it's not Twilight Sparkle, they clearly do not have good taste. I'm kidding. I don't actually judge people by their avatars. GhostPony750 959 August 8, 2014 Share August 8, 2014 Yep, I do. It catches a glimpse of someone's personality. And I tend to recognize people by their avatars. It's a quick and reliable way to know someone. And I know that everyone do the same. People with anime avatars tends to stick together, since they share the same interests. Sadly I'm the only one with a car avatar...
Guest August 8, 2014 Share August 8, 2014 Nope. Post quality speaks louder than avatars, signatures, or even names. Post quality is everything, I see that intelligent/funny post and I brohoof you for it, I see how you put no effort into that post and so I will be judging you for it. No broof for you, try harder next time!
