Well, all good things come to an end, and while I love Friendship is Magic and I wish to see it gone on for as long as possible, it will eventually end. And when it does eventually end, I will probably leave the fandom. Sure, I could stick around as I'm sure many other fans will, being MLP is something of a cult classic, but after a while the interest will fade away and there won't be much to discuss. I'll stay close to whatever friends I've made and hope for a future pony project that we can all get into. When one chapter closes, you go on to the next one. :)

I don't think I'll ever leave the fandom! The only thing that would make me leave would be if they got rid of all the main characters (and popular background characters), absolutely ruined the show and if Hasbro started to destroy and remove every single fan-made project. But for this to happen, there would have to be no show left, and probably all the bronies would have left by then anyway.

In summary, I'm never leaving the fandom!

The fandom gives me a place to be me. Its made me a better person. I really feel comfortable talking with complete strangers within the fandom. I love the fandom, no matter what. I will always be loyal.

The fandom for me is all about the Brony community, interactions, concepts and materials.

I'm a part of the fandom but if it became something horrible that I hated or couldn't relate to, which it is hard to imagine.  Then I wouldn't associate myself as a part of the fandom, I'd still like ponies and the old fandom though.

So in that cause I didn't leave the fandom the fandom left me.

And if I can't express myself as a part of the fandom then I'm not really a part of it.

So in that case I was eithe never a part of it or some how was barred from it.

I honestly don't understand why everyone wants to leave the fandom before it has even finished. I stay dedicated to what I love even though things may tend to deviate, at least until the series ends. I find it a little ridiculous how a lot of the fandom joins just to be pat of the in crowd sort of speak. One of my friends was doing that which made me rage when he stopped watching it. As a matter of fact he fell asleep when we were watching it one day. It's alright if you honestly are not interested in the show. But I just figured some of this fandom was a little more dedicated than that.

This topic for example, why does it exist? (relevant or not i'm mentioning it) Probably because several people are considering leaving the fandom over the whole Twilicorn and EQG thing. I think it's a little sad in my eyes. If you're gonna let this movie, which hasn't even come out yet I might add, put you on edge about the staying in the fandom, then you might as well leave now. (don't mean to sound harsh) I don't want to see more of the fans leave, but whoever does will leave at their own pace I suppose.

I mean a lot of the fans were hesitant to join before they actually joined the fandom. Some, haters even!!! But we shouldn't really knock these changes before we've even given them a chance. At least that's my opinion on the whole matter. I'm not planning on leaving the fandom any time. I'm still a fan of Ed Edd n Eddy even though the show is over. Once a fan, I'm a fan for life!

So come on guys, the show isn't over yet! Let's stay strong as a fandom!!! wink.png

Death. Plain and simple. Death.

...no, I take that back, I'll probably be a brony in the afterlife. (Assuming there is one.)

There is nothing so bad that I'd leave the fandom. Yeah, MAYBE (not likely though) they butcher the show, but I'll still be a fan of the old stuff. I'll be drawing ponies and watching old episodes and stuff.

I will be in the fandom forever or when Blue Lightning leaves the fandom; whichever comes first wink.png

But seriously, I'm like a star in regards to the MLP fandom. I'm not a very big or powerful fan of MLP, but I'm long-lasting (astronomy reference :P). I like the show, but I don't go overboard. Still, I love this community and most things about the fandom. I'll be here forever.

I can't believe "stay even if I hate everything" is the most picked option. Why stay in a community I hate?

Anyway, I'll stay in this fandom until fan content and the community in general goes downhill, which I'm hoping won't be for a while.

Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?

Some people thrive off of hate. I knew one guy in a fandom I belonged to years ago that went out of his way to be obnoxious and hateful to everyone because he *liked* being despised by other fans. It gave him a sense of superiority. If all these 'losers' hated him, that made him a winner.

I'm not speculating here, he told me this flat out once when he was drunk.

As long as the show (ie Season 4 not EQD Girls) is good and as long as i have a creative outlet I'll be here. While the community drama is getting old i don't feel there's a shortage of great fannon. If anything people who are moving on will allow others who are newer and try harder to get noticed in their absence.  This is going to be a very difficult summer and fall for the community and i only expect it to get worse tbh but i think those who care about the community and want to be here will stay. If Hasbro lowers the bar on season 4 (like even a little worse then season 3) then i wouldn't be surprised if the community loses more people. After a few years of everything pony-pony-pony people may want to move on and just be tired of it all. I don't look forward to when that inevitable day will come or when i see friends move on (a few have left already). It can't last forever but I hope it doesn't end anytime soon.

Ok everypony, this question came to mind to me today. Would you leave the brony fandom if...

1. All of the background ponies were deleted?

2. CMC got their cutie marks?

3. Twilight the alicorn wasn't such a good idea?

4. They ran out of ideas for episodes?

5. MLP was cancelled?

6. Everyone teased you about being a brony?

7. Everypony fulfilled their destinies?

8. The show sucked itself?

Give your honest opinion.

Me? No, I wouldn't. MLP has taught me just how important friends are in my life. Before I became a pegasister, I had thoughts of suicide because I didn't have any friends. I owe it all to MLP because they saved my life, taught me well, and helped me make some friends!

No for all of them. I'll be involved in the fandom even if the show falls to pieces and becomes uninteresting. Which isn't to say that I won't be extremely disappointed of course, but I refuse to let what happens in the future influence my opinion of past episodes. I may (knock on wood) stop watching the show someday, but I'll still be around for all the great friends I've made and for cool fan content. i think I could survive for a long time on fluffy shipfics alone.

Here are my opinions:

1.)I would question why they would do this. Sure, I'd be a bit upset (Derpy is Best Pony :3), but I wouldn't leave the fandom over it.

2.) That's great! Sure, it means no more CMC "Finding yourself" episodes, but they can then transverse into actual characters with character development (sort of like the Mane 6, but not be a part of the main cast). Opens more opportunities for the show in my opinion.

3.)Meh, oh well. Sometimes you have to take a chance even if it isn't the "soundest" of plans. I liked the idea of Twilight becoming a Princess and I eagerly await what is held up for S4. Even if it sucks, I'll continue to watch what they put out.

4/5.)These two are almost/can be connected (#4 can lead into #5). It may mean the end of canon material, however, I know for a fact that the Brony community will continue to put out, and post new material until every possible option is used up.

7(no #6 :(?).) I don't think they would do this until they knew they were going to end the series. A couple episodes to wrap it up (if they do it right) and it could be a nice way to end the series. Nothing to fret over.

8.)As long as the community doesn't go all ape-s**t (or, atleast calms down quickly), I don't see this being an issue either.

So. The overall answer is:

Nope

No, to all of the above.

I'm in this for the long haul. The thing that makes the pony fandom different from others is the shear amount of fan content and fanon. Even if the show fails, there's enough creative power and fanon out there to support the fandom.

The concept of "ponies" has gone above and beyond MLP:FiM in itself, of all the crossover and original content is proof of that. Ponies has become it's own thing, in a way.

Oh, I think this is a funny question...

1. Yesh, I wuld totlly leave when Lyra gets deleted, ermahgursh, she runs dat show (no, I would be sad, but I´d never leave the fandumbdom)

2. I think the CMC will get their CMs at one point, I just expect them to do that and evolve more...

3. I actually like Twilicorn :3 (sue me)

4. If they run out of ideas for episodes... hm, I´d watch the old ones, or the fandom would give ideas for new ones, there´s a way.

5. I wouldn´t leave, but I´d be really, really sad.

6. GOSH DANG-IT YOU FORGOT NO. 6 (jk, lol, you edited it, I see, I see)

7. That´d be kay, there will be somethign to do xD.

I have to admit ; Im to far gone into the fandom, nothing will ever make me loose interest into ponies let alone the show. Even if it starts to crash and burn I'd be one of those fans that stay true to the fandom; long after the boat has sunk.

1. Probably, since they are characters that matter too besides the main characters.

2. Not really, unless they can continue their secret society when they get their cutie marks and have new episodes.

3. Doesn't matter to me, I'll stay.

4. Probably, but there are many opportunities for new ideas for episodes.

5. Not at all, the fandom lives on!

6. Not at all.

7. No.

8. Still no.

And the answer is: NO!

I'll still stay dedicated as long as there is content and other things related to the show. Other then that, I'll still stay in the fandom.

1-8: No, because none of those have anything to do with why I became a brony in the first place.  Sure, I may stop watching the show, but that is not a requirement of being a part of the community.  To be completely honest though, I cannot say that I will always consider myself in the fandom because, sadly, people change.  But, I can say that I will not regret having been a part of the fandom.

Life is change. Interests change. So I wouldn't be a fan of the show anymore if my interests changed in a way that would make me lose interest in it. I cannot say when or why this will ever happen, but it can happen. Can.

No to all of them. I love the fandom and nothing on this list would ever make me think of leaving the fandom.

I too became a brony to make friends that's why I joined this forum.

Another reason. If there's always going to be a brony community, couldn't we make episodes ourselves? Not only that, but I'm actually excited about everything that's happening in the series. Twilight the alicorn, EQG, CMC get their CMs (can't wait for it to happen), and a lot of other things. Plus, all the friendships I've made with you guys.

I may leave, I dunno .. If there's nothing new, the fandom will inevitably die anyways. I don't want to be part of a dead fandom. But I don't see MLP going anywhere anytime soon.

And this is your honest opinion? I see your point, but you could always be optimistic about the future. I would. I think that there will always be a briny somewhere in the world.
