Why do you think Sunset Shimmer and Flash Sentry are old news?

I assume at first they liked each other for their looks, and maybe she liked him for his popularity and stuff, maybe she even used him to get some popularity and power. Then eventually Flash saw what Sunset was like and decided they didn't want to date anymore.

 

I say Flash broke up with Sunset, because Sunset was a jerk kinda first of all, and also because Flash didn't seem interested in her any longer, and was even determined to stand against her.

 

So it was kinda like alot of normal Highschool relationships really :P.
