searching The Secluded Village

Once again, I'm going to try and post an RP. -.- Hopefully, more people will join it, and actually keep on posting in it cuz this is actually quite a good idea. At least, I think so and I'm the worst judge of my ideas.

 

Plot.

 

Princesses Celestia and Luna call together a group of ponies in order to investigate a strange village. This village is set in the centre of the Everfree Forest and there's something very strange about it; when ponies go inside, they mostly never come back out again. When they do, even if it's years after they went in, they're exactly the same age. The Princesses have been getting very worried about this village and feel it deems investigating.

 

Basically, the village is based on the concept of Silent Hill. During the day, the village is set to reality; everything seems normal and the ponies inside are real. During the night however, a fog descends on the village and anypony inside it experiences monsters who are derived from their greatest fears.

 

If anypony has any additional ideas, post them here. I'd welcome any to flesh the plot out a bit.

 

Rules.

 

1. No alicorn OCs.

2. No OP OCs. If your character seems a bit overpowered, I will ask you to tone them down a bit.

3. No godmoding and no Mary Sues.

4. If you join up, then please post. I hate it when people sign up to an RP, act all enthusiastic, then stop posting after a week.

5. This might end up as an Advanced RP; I haven't decided.

To be honest i truly don't know what all these rules mean and the only ones i actually know are no godmoding and the enthusiastic but other than that I don't know the rest of it. I have never done an RP before either.

What do you mean by a rounded character with flaws as well as strengths because im new to this i got on this yesterday and this is the first time im searching RP so i am truly clueless of what you just said to be honest.

OC means original character, or the character you will use for the RP.

 

1. No alicorn OCs. Pretty self-explanatory.
2. No OP OCs. If your character seems a bit overpowered, I will ask you to tone them down a bit. OP means overpowered.
3. No godmoding and no Mary Sues. Godmodding means controlling characters that aren't your responsibility, or 'instant hits'. Mary Sues is an RPer's term for a character that is perfect and flawless, someone that everyone loves/hates, etc. Avoid making a Mary Sue.
4. If you join up, then please post. I hate it when people sign up to an RP, act all enthusiastic, then stop posting after a week. If you join, you have to stick with it.
5. This might end up as an Advanced RP; I haven't decided. This means that instead of the 200 character limit for normal RPs, there is an 800 character limit. But he hasn't decided...

 

I expect that this isn't a good RP for you to start with. Pripyat probably wants seasoned or veteran RPers on this one, correct?

Okies, you're all accepted.  I've decided to make this RP a regular one, cuz it'll be easier for everypony to post. However, I will ask that everypony try to post a bit more than the minimum.

 

@, this isn't going to be a good RP to start with if you're new to RPing. Thunder Knight is correct on that. Best to pick a simpler one, m'kay?

 

@@aRegularPony, that's up to you! Your fears can appear as straight up monsters, or as they are; for example, if a pony was frightened of spiders, then when the fog comes down, they could see spiders all around them... or just one giant monster spider. XD Since quite a few people have joined, I'll probably start the RP sometime tomorrow.

That would be a great idea! I'm going to post a couple of NPCs along with my main character, when I decide who to use, so having a pony main character, yours, already trapped in the village would be fantastic.

Just as long he doesn't win every single fight and do every single thing perfectly... he's not OP. XD I have a couple of very powerful mage type unicorn characters, but I make sure I balance them out with faults etc. Anyway, you can join.
